Movie/tv remakes, the good, bad and future

Yeah, the 1976 remake had Jeff Bridges and that movie sucked. That's why I mentioned Peter Jackson's name, as I was referring to his remake.

Jackson's King Kong remake was awful. 3 hours of nonsense that was done so much better 1st time around. The fx were crappy (all those silly dinosaurs & insects) the action scenes were boring coz they went on for ages & ages!! I’d rather watch the Bridges version again, hell I’d rather watch that movies sequel again King Kong Lives, in which he gets an artificial heart transplant AND a girlfriend.

Good link, & if the T-Rex scene was like that in the 2005 version it would be fine but it goes on for ever with 2/3 of ‘em attacking Kong & Kong swinging through vines, tossing the girl around like a rag doll etc etc it became boring & nonsensical. Just like that scene in the pit where the guys get attacked by giant bugs…for ages (yawn) Give me the Fay Wray version any day.

The series takes place after T2. Did you not watch the first season where they met up with Miles Dyson's wife or when Agent Ellison met Dr. Silberman and they didn't make the series to replace the movie franchise, they made the series as an expansion to the franchise. I don't mind if you don't like the series (I do) but you should at least know what you are talking about.

When one compares Jackson's Kong to the 1933 original, I'll give you that. The original is superior to any remake that has followed. But to say that pile of vomit King Kong Lives is actually better than Jackson's King Kong!?! Jesus H. Caviezel! What the fuck is going on here!?!?
