Motorcycles

so I have a Yamaha R1, and looking to get a cruiser and sell the R1. sportbikes aren't the best for long rides.

I want a Harley Fatboy, but I'm not 100% decided.

anyone here ride? what would you get? :dunno:

A friend of mine sold his R1 and got the Yamaha Warrior. Still has more speed then a fatboy, yet the comfort of a cruiser. Very comfy bike. I used to ride with him and we went on some long rides. Even as a passenger the bike is very comfortable. I'd suggest that.

My everyday bike in the summer is a Honda CBR 600. I also have a black customized 2003 MV Agusta F4-740S that is just ******. A world of difference between those two bikes.

What year R1 do you have?

What year is your CBR?

Oh ok. CBR's are nice, but I tend to go towards the Yamaha's more. To me Yamaha's are just a sexier looking bike. But, I like Honda because Nicky Hayden rides for them. :1orglaugh

a 2005 Yamaha TDM 900 for summer and winter :D

I've own a few or should that be a lot.

Currently I only have one running which is the bike I used to run to work and back. Cheap to run, gets through traffic easy and runs forever, a Honda CG125. But I do have a rebuild project going on. Not getting much time to do it at the moment though with other things taking up my time. That is restoring a Kawasaki VFN 800.

But I've owned various types of bikes. Mostly prefer Honda's.

What I find is with most bikers is that everyone is different. Which comes to, at the end of the day they will only ride what they feel good on. So no matter what people recommend, it might not be the bike for you.

Many years ago I had a Honda 250. It was an excellent machine and I rode it for thousands of miles without any serious mechanical mishap. :)

2004 Honda CRF 250R. Not very good on long rides either.

looks like it might be a Yamaha or Honda, I asked a buddy that just bought a Harley what he thought about them, and its about 5 grand for the Harley name.

besides you can make the metric bikes look cool

I want a Honda VTX 1800.
Right now I've only got a shadown 600 :(

Harleys are overpriced. Your paying for the name and thats it. I agree that cafe bikes aren't good for long rides, but damn they're fun around town!
