Some breaking news in the world of MMA.
First, Vera and Mir will fight in UFC 62 against one another - this along with the liddell fight and the re-match between griffin and bonnar.
also, it was announced that Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock will fight once again... i'm happy to see it, but a lot of people are not. They will fight in Oct. and it will be on spike... along with a B.j Penn fight (in talks) it will air on ultimate fight night.

and it's not that pride fighters are better, although many of them are. but don't forget that ufc and all the other orginizations have great fighters, too. renzo and militech will be fighting in the IFL this in september. the WFA seems like it should do well and have many good fighters. leben lost because he's not good enough to take on a chute boxe guy that has a number of wins in much bigger shows than ultimate fight night live.
i think that andersson silva being introduced to the UFC is a good thing and maybe we'll see a new era of stand-up in the USA. less haymakers and more well executed, precise strikes.
I'm so stooked.... only a week away from Ultimate Fight Night and the ultimate fighter.

Damn. I've been looking forward to that fight forever, and then it finally happens, and now it's cancelled. 
does anybody know why it was cancelled? as far as i know it's still on if liddell beats babalu and wanderlei silva doesn't have any injuries after his next fight in pride.
