Miss me yet?

Funny how President Bush has been persona non grata at ALL of the republican presidential campaign functions this year. I guess they don't miss him yet.

He pussied out of taking the fight to the Taliban and terrorists all over the world in his 2nd term.
I was behind him going all "medieval on their asses" but he fell short of expectations of a president in his last term.

One of my main complaints about George W. Bush was that he was too worried about politics to do exactly what you're saying, HB. He should have said, "fuck the democrats, we're doing this war right". After he was re-elected he had no excuse not to.

Because the idiot opened a second front in Iraq that didn't need to be opened. This took the people and resources that should have been destroying Al Qaeda and Taliban cockroaches and buried them in Iraq. One half assed decision after another W's entire 8 years was half interested dip **** leadership at its finest. Guy should be rotting in a dark hole somewhere. We were ****** at the towers on his watch, we were witnesses to a terrible job during Katrina on his watch , and we were left in economic ruin on his watch.

We had to fight that Sodom Husane guy. He was just like another Hitler. He had weapons of mass destruction. And I'll tell you pinko pansies something else: we were better off fightin' them over thar so we didn't have to fight 'em over hyar! Ol' Sodom was workin' hand and hand with ol' Ben Laden. They were like best buddies. Colon Powel proved that with his PowerPoint presentation. And a bunch of the dudes that blew up the Empire State Building was Iraqis. So what does that tell you?!

And this so called Great Recession wouldn't have been nearly as bad if we'd just done what always works: deregulate and cut taxes. If they'd let all the big banks and GM fail, by now, the unemployment rate would probably be down to 0 and everything would be just fine. Fuckin' socialists and commies screwed it all up. Deregulate. Cut taxes. That's all they had to do!

Longest rant that said nothing factual I have ever seen, congratulations. Try and form an original thought for a change. This entire free market deregulation spew is a fanciful tale at best. It would be all butter and sunshine if you took the human greed element out of your ***** scenario. The fools that play with money for a living continually exploit any form of deregulation and leave the American people to pay for the damage. Savings and Loan scandal??? Tech bubble?? or our current predicament can be directly attributed to lack of oversight. Learn from history or be doomed to repeat it.

Seriously? Could I have possibly been any more obvious? :dunno:

Sarcasm much? Lordy, it was damn near dripping up there...

^^^^This. Only I didn't wait until his second term to wonder WTF? I never understood the weak-ass approach we took in Afghanistan.

It happens. Especially to me. :shy:

There were some of us who saw Iraq for what it was the moment the war drums started: It was smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that we were getting our asses kicked by the Taliban and were unable to find Bin Laden. So they drummed up the evidence and went after an easy enemy. Ever read American Hero by Larry Beinhart? It is actually about the first gulf war - but the story could have easily been twisted to fit this one.

Dubya's largest fault was this: he was a lot more worried about his own personal legacy than he was about the health of the country he was elected to oversee. He wanted to be known as the Education President, yet his No ***** Left Behind is a prime example of bloated, overreaching government. He tried following the footsteps of JFK with his Vision for Space Exploration, another over funded, poorly planed Bush plan. He thought he could be Reagan.2 with his tax cuts for the rich and the continuation of the Trickle Down theory...a massive failure. He wanted to be the guy to defeat terrorism (a statistical impossibility), and succeeded only in making the Middle East even more of a hot bed for the future. The failure on the War on Terrorism was a failure on many fronts: Financially, it has drained us (it is impossible to fund a war while massively cutting taxes), it needlessly put our soldiers in danger, it took soldiers from the homefront to another land (remember the lack of National Guardsmen to help after Katrina?), and further pissed off an area of the world which already does not like us. He was also one of those pushing us towards a more christian agenda - remember all of the gay marriage state amendments which popped up for vote in 2004?
So, yeah, no wonder Republicans are staying away from Bush, the man. Now if they would only learn to stay away from his ideology.

You losers are still blaming Bush for things, huh? Look in the mirror and start placing blame where it should be, on Barry Soetoro, aka Barrack Hussein Obama.

If Bush is not to blame, then how come the man has not been embraced by his own party?
