Vanilla Bear

"Best" Shemale

Yes that's right.... Finally give them some credit! All the blonde girlie starlets get enough already!

I'm sure they're more honest than all those Bree Olsons...

Oh and "Best Maley happy maker" :D

I will check all them out and tell you who wins!

Haley Paige gets my vote.

Hmmm....I remember seeing that joke from another member once. Suspicious....

What exactly qualifies someone as "Amateur"? My site is maintained (content, as well as upkeep to the actual site) by myself and my husband. I'm not with any agencies so I don't consider myself professional, but I'm not really sure I belong in the "Amateur" class either... But you really believe I should be disqualified simply because I am an OCSM?

Good question. The qualifications will have to be examined if we do categories because "porn star" is another one that has some varying opinions. Are you a porn star if you do b/g, or do you only qualify as a porn star if you have made it into a DVD or magazine?

Is an amateur someone starting out in the business? Or is it someone who isn't affiliated with an agency or shoots for the big sites?

The other issue to think about is, if we have categories...how do we go about choosing who's Miss FreeOnes? Can there be only one, or does each category winner become Miss FreeOnes of that category? Or do we do an overall popularity contest like last year and just have a few categories as an extra?

And don't worry, OCSMs won't be disqualified...that makes the whole contest besides the point because it's only OCSMs that can enter.

I don't think OCSMs should be prohibited from posting. I do think there should be a "don't post needles threads" rule, regardless.
Some of us like coming here and chatting it up with you guys. Don't run us off!

That is a great point. I run my own website and so do a lot of the other OCSM's. I am a professional model, but I am not sure what my website would be considered. The reviews sites have a hard time defining it as well besides a solo girl site or hardcore site.

I certainly didn't mean to exclude non-pro OCSM folks, but I just offered it as a single possibility of drawing a line somewhere. I don't have to come up with good ways to implement these things, that's why Petra gets paid gazillions of dollars. I merely make suggestions and expect her to make them happen...

And I think it would be a mistake to tell OCSMs not to post during the contest too.

well if i would like to have anything changed i would say i would like more statistics about the pornstars.. you know.... what they like or don't like, favorite position.. things like that..

Don't encourage him.

The problem is that you'd (well the FO team anyway) need to have a definition of the word needless which everybody understands...

If it was up to me I would put restrictions on who could vote or make it so, even if there are flaws with this system also, things like reputation, post count, and time on the board factored in significantly somehow to a large degree with how much somebody's vote counted. That way somebody like Tunsty or BlueBalls, for example, votes would count dramatically more than some newbie with hardly any posts that just came on here to vote and went somewhere else. Some people might not like it, and it might be sort of elitist in a way, but this is supposed to be a "FreeOnes competition" to name the people that are going to be "Miss FreeOnes" so having the people that represent this board the most play a big part of that doesn't bother me.

I'm already looking into making FreeOnes members votes have a heavier weight than someone who doesn't have an account. At this point I have no details on how it will work or what's even possible.

One of the things that has to be considered is the fact that we have people who have been MyFO members and are actively using MyFO, but never had a board account until we forced it last August. This doesn't make them any less of a FreeOnes member than say, Georges, who has pretty much been on the board since day 1 of it's creation. It's just using FreeOnes in 2 different ways.

Something that may be able to be done is base the vote off of the date on the MyFreeOnes account and then give a modifier for post count. :dunno:

Again, I don't really know on this...I have to talk to the guys making the system first otherwise they'll :fight: me for making promises. hehe

I would also make it so that instead of stages of voting there was only one vote or ballot that people could make. You could name up to ten people at once in order where somebody should be ranked and the higher the rank the more points that person got from you. For example the #1 person would get 10 points while the number 10 person would get one, and what you gave everybody would be adjusted by the factors above. That way a vote wouldn't have to be all or nothing either, and the whole process could go quicker.

Good suggestion. This one will go on my list of ideas.

The main reason I say that is not that they did or did not posts a lot or were long time members, although I'll admit that was a pretty big reason also and a very big factor in who I might vote for, but the fact those three (and their most fanatical fans and their ability to direct Internet traffic) have a great tendency to make a complete and utter mockery of any contest they are a part of(and they have did it before) and turn it into something it was never meant to be or something the most people out there don't think the contest represent. They often do it through a great part of their own actions. It also has nothing to do with what I personally feel about them. I actually have nothing again Vicky, and sort of like her, but she is guilty of it. (I'll admit, for the sake of honesty with others and myself and for transparentness with this reasoning that I don't like Lisa Ann and think she's highly overrated and I most definitely don't like Bree at all in either in what she does in a professional or personal sense.) It's not that I want them to not be a part of it because I'm trying to be a jerk or just don't want them to win because I don't like them. It's just that for the contest to have any semblance of sanity to it, to be remotely fair, and to be true to what most people think it represents it's would be much better if those three were not a part of it.

I agree with you, D-Rock, but as long as people who are not (my)FO members can vote, this problem will probably remain. Besides, it's not that much trouble to register a myFO (or board) account & it certainly doesn't mean they'll actively use MYFo or the board, so even if FO implemented a rule which states that only members (of the board or myFO) can vote, it still wouldn't help much.

Another idea might be to use the rep system. Let's say that at 100000 rep points your vote weighs twice as heavy as someone with no rep, but the rep system itself isn't perfect & new (active) members wouldn't benefit from this system at all, nor would active myFO users...

A third option is post counts, but people would just start kissing maleonetwos ass and offer to give him blowjobs, just so that he'd vote for the person they want him to vote for. I'm convinced m12 wouldn't mind, but it wouldn't really be fair.

A fourth & maybe best option would be to let the time people have been members of the board or myFO for a longer period of time have a heavier vote than people who joined during, or a week before the actual contest.

There are a few problems with this, though.

It's relatively easy to find out when a board member joined. You can even see it for yourself if you check a member's profile, but I don't know if it's possible to retrieve a myFO join date, nor do I know if it's technically possible to implement such a system.

That way somebody like Tunsty or BlueBalls, for example,

Oh wow. I'm even getting mentioned in examples now...

I'm giddy with the fame of it

Yes! We want you people around, so that rule would make no sense

That's a pretty good idea.

So.......BlueBalls, who's Miss Freeones going to be next year?

I've officially submitted my plan for the 2011 contest to the programmers! I don't have a whole lot of details to give at this moment since things are bound to change at any given time...but here are a few things you may be able to look forward to if the stars and moon align just right!

- A much shorter contest. I'm looking at 1.5 months. This was the biggest complaint from both voters and contestants!

- I'm looking at doing a 2 part contest, with both parts running at the same time. The first part will be a popularity contest like MissFO 2010 with some minor changes in the rounds. The second part of the contest will be categories.

If you wonder why I'm choosing to do it this way...think of a beauty pagent. All the contestants want to be Miss Whatever, but the judges also issue trophies for the most photogenic, best dress, best hair/make-up etc.

So, for example, if this were last year and Miss Hybrid were nominated for "best newcomer" or "best OCSM," she get dropped out of the overall popularity contest, but she may still be able to compete in the "best newcomer" or "best OCSM" category.

- And what a majority of you really want...I'm looking into making votes from FreeOnes members have more influence on the voting than anonymous voters.

The weight of your vote will be based on your time as a member. Brand new member's votes will still have more influence than an anonymous voter, but much less influence than a member that has been around for a year.

Like I said...this is still in the development phase and is subject to change at any given time but this is the basic outline! More details will follow down the road. :D

Oh yes, and I am coming up with categories soon. I'll post what I come up with as well. Please keep posting your ideas!
