my norton security ran out a couple of weeks ago and reluctant to pay again so does any one have advice(free please

i ran my adware spybot defragged today all clean
ran norton and saying i got trojan unable to delete:dunno:
also past couple weeks my machine crashing all the time:crash: ??
one more thing anyone who uses adware when you have scanned and quarantined do you delete the quarantine file??
all replys simply as poss please me and pcs dont mix
