is this actually surprising to anyone? first off, does anybody remember high school? how many girls did you know who DIDN'T go get wasted every time there was a party (excluding the straight-laced, good girls)...she's 18, many girls have lost their virginity years before that age and get drunk pretty regularly, anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or in serious denial for some reason or other...
