I saw an interesting story on the news today. The City of Miami is planning a big party for Cuban Americans (or all Americans that want to go,I suppose) when Fidel Castro dies.In addition to the obvious celebrations that will take place in "Little Havana",Miami City Commissioner Tomas Regalado(a Cuban American) is finalizing plans for the big bash at the Orange Bowl football stadium.Bands and entertainment are being lined up for the event when it comes. The Orange Bowl site was chosen because it was the location of John F. Kennedy's 1961 speech promising a free Cuba and also the location was used as a refugee camp during the Mariel boatlift of the 1980's.
