Have MGS4. Currently on act4. So far they've *really* tied all the stories together in a way that makes sense.. if you've played MGS1 up till 3. And actually some of the portable ops info makes an appearance..

It's really kickass to see the returning characters.. and 'specially in such high detail.

Beat the game twice now.

All questions = ANSWERED.

All returning characters = DONT DISAPOINT.

Playing through the game = GIVES CLOSURE AND HAPPINESS TO A SERIES I'VE PLAYED WAY TOO MUCH SINCE 1998/MGS1!

Honestly, it's an awesome game but I dont know if anything justifies a PS3 price tag. I picked up mine for 325$ and I traded in (almost) every PS2 game and the system itself in exchange for it. (Hell, I dont need it now do I? Especially since the DVD playback is so incredibly bad on the PS2) BluRay won the format war, soo.. it's not just the best console, it's a cheap movie player*.

p.s. It also plays all the Xvid/AVI/pretty much all windows movie formats I could throw at it.. which was a nice perk. Free windows media HD playback. Rock on.

MGS4 RULES!!!!! I been playing the shit out of it online and offline. I beat it 4 times now and its not gitting old at all. Im playing it right now. HAHAHAHAHA Its funny how everyone online uses MG names so my friends and I made fucked^ names like OneEyedSnake, SwollenSnake and shit like that.

i personally think the game is for die hard metal gear solid fans. i never played the others but my buddy did. we both played the game togeth and both agreed that the first 2 acts were good but acts 3,4,and5 were rather boring with three being the worst. if you have never played the games i would recommend renting it. yes the game is pretty in 1080p but the cut scenes are so boring "god how many times do i have to watch an egg fry". honestly i would give the game a 7 out of 10. yes i know i'll be bashed by the fan boys of this game, but honestly i spent more time in cut scenes then playing the game. this game once again shows that the ps3 is a $400.00 blu-ray player and not a gaming system. side note, load times werent bad.

I don't understand why people always knock on Sony's PlayStation. It has better guts in it than the X-box and there gaming has been around longer. Los Alamos National Laboratory built the biggest super computer in the world and they used PlayStation 3's to run it. If you don't believe me Google it.

I'm so glad blu-ray won the format war. I got an 360 HD DVD player with 5 movies, all for under £30. Now THAT'S a cheap movie player....

I like the Playstation. PS2 was easily the greatest ever console. But PS3 just doesn't compare to the 360.

What do you mean by "more guts" though?

And Microsoft has been doing gaming for longer than Sony.

Consideing that Hideo Kojima investigated the matter and found the x360 a poor performer compared to PS3... hey, believe what you want. He has an investigative team and programmers working under him. You dont.

the metal gear games r some of the best games i have ever played on. i know some people say that it mite be the last game, but i don't think that that is the case, i think there will be more. i think it is the last one from Hideo Kojima, but i think someone else will carry it on, well thats what i have seen on internet.:thumbsup:

I think so too.. its sad thinking that Hideo wont behind the next Metal Gear game cause he makes absolutely awesome games. Returning to Shadow Moses sent shivers down my spine and a tear to my eye.

metal gear solid was and is one of the greatest franchises ever spawned. I cannot wait for MGS: exsistance and MGS: touched for the iphone/ipod.
