I can't describe how utterly saddening these latest photos of her are . . . she was one of the most beautiful models in the world, and now she can best be described as a grotesque, like an artificial wax sculpture resembling Maggie Gyllenhall. Yet another woman whom plastic surgery has desecrated. I don't know how any of her former aficionados could even tolerate seeing another thing of hers again. I know I can't. R.I.P. Anya.

I'm afraid there's no one comes to mind who can hold a candle to (the former) Anya for beauty. That's what makes the loss so completely disheartening. Hitomi is nice, but to my mind the only thing that remains to hold on to is Anya's older body of work. The only other models who are even remotely as beautiful in both face and body are all retired: Jana Defi, for example, or Anne-Marie. Of models still working, I can only think of Eli, or perhaps Flavour22, and even they are far, far distant from the beauty that was Anya. But what's done is done, and can't be undone. I'm simply grateful that something so excellent once existed, and that I was privileged enough to set eyes on it.
