"NEW ORLEANS - Republican Sen. John McCain, showing a flash of the temper he is known for, repeatedly cut off a reporter Friday when asked whether he had spoken to Democratic Sen. John Kerry about being his vice president in 2004. "Everybody knows that I had a private conversation. Everybody knows that, that I had a conversation," McCain told the reporter. "And you know it, too. No. You know it, too. No. You do know. You do know."

As the story mentions supposedly McCain is famous in the senate for his very short and hot temper. Not a good trait for someone looking to be in charge of such power as he is IMO.

To my fellow FreeOnes posters and moderators,

Can we PLEASE have ONE US Election news thread? I know many of you care about it, but can you stop violating the etiquette of the board to discuss it?

I hear if McCain becomes President, he will change the Marines' motto to Temper Fi! :lame: :ban:

McCain didn't seem to lose his temper to me.

As opposed to who?

A woman who still lives with her so called husband despite him being "caught" flaunting marriage vows?

Or....

.... a senator who refuses to acknowledge that he has no original ideas nor solutions to the pickle that the US is in?

Don't get me wrong. I don't like McCain - that rotten snake can die a slow death for all I care. He betrayed US PoWs.

But your insinuation that McCain's "temper" makes him somehow 'unworthy' of the Presidency is laughable, at best. At the very least, it shows your ignorance of the tempers of former presidents - I could give examples from JFK and LBJ....

cheers,
