Yeah, that Mako sure is something else.
i saw the trailer on my friend's xbox and i think it's a good RPG....
but i hope that Fallout 3 will be even better than this

I wonder what kind of downable content they are going to have?
Is mass effect 1st person or 3rd person.
It's a 3rd person perspective .
it is a good game, maybe not as good as it could of been the two people you have in the group with you don't always work well, like when you click for them to take cover one of them dose and the other just stands there getting shot, and if you check out the earlier game video for this in the demo on the mining camp where you get attacked by the geth the player pause's the game and move one person to cover on one box and then moves the other one to coved behide another box then un-pauses the game and starts fighting, just seem like they went backwards from the first videos of the game, but it is sweet and will take a lot of time to play if you take your time and complete as many of the side quest as you can !!

I've played this game through normal mode (Renegade Vanguard, completing all side-quests), hardcore mode (Paragon Soldier) and insanity mode (Renegade Adept).
To give you an estimation of the play time: it took me about 17 hours to complete the game the first time, and an additional 5-6 hours to complete all side quests. The second and third time I only did the main plot and it took me about 14 hours each.
Instead of writing an essay on how I liked this game I'll give you some pros and cons and a concluded score.
Pros:
+ Various weaponry and abilities
+ Engaging storyline with a better-than-Star-Wars-universe
+ High replay value if you enjoy the combat
+ Great voice acting and character design
+ Graphics, sound, controls
+ Beautiful environments worth exploring
+ Subplots open for personal design
+ Matriarch Benezia

- Low replay value apart from experiencing different classes
- Repetitive side quests and no real motivation to complete them
- Too few urban areas to explore, most of the planets are just plain boring
- A little too easy from time to time
- Nothing smashingly unique and very similar to the KOTOR games
- No nudity in the romantic subplot sex scene
- Guns are almost always superior to biotics (the game's equivalent to spells)
In conclusion this game gets an 8/10 rating. Replay value 6/10.

Regardless, you're still replaying it, and so am I. I'm on my 3rd, and I'm sure do more.
I agree with most of your points, but this game has a high replay value. If it didn't, we wouldn't be replaying.

Technically you're right. But the reason I'm replaying it is because I don't have anything else to play. And because I'm a fucking addict when it comes to achievements and getting 100% out of game.
What I meant by low replay value is that the game offers nothing new on a replay and nothing worth replaying it for. Few games do.
To be frank, it has a negative replay value, as you start discovering things that bother you rather than the first experience. I guess you would know as you replay it too

Wow, this game really was overrated.
Painfully overrated...
Going as far as to say it's not actually that good of a game, many aspects of it are good I admit, like the dialouge. But upgrading weapons and stuff is very boring, and the worlds you visit are boring. Also the story isn't that amazing, it's just your average sci-fi plot.
In many reviews it said it was mainly for RPG fans, but shooter fans will love it just as much. Bullshit. The fighting is lame, and if you think otherwise you need to play more FPS.
But after saying all that, I really hope I change my mind by the time I finish it.
