Pedantry perhaps but marriage is defined, as it has been for millenia, as a union between a man and a woman.
Gay couples can certainly receive the same legal rights these days as heterosexual ones but marriage it isn't.That's why in the UK it's always termed a civil partnership.It's time a word was coined to describe such a partnership so the two can be distinguished.
