Maricopa County Superior Court to review Sheriff Joe’s takeover of computer system

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office sent more than a dozen officers to county computer rooms in its Wednesday raids and takeover of a computer system that interlinks police and court agencies.

I've loved the way Sheriff Joe Arpaio has operated for many years. First he puts prisoners in a tent city, makes them wear pink underwear and feeds them on 89 cents a day.

Now he's started a hostile takeover of an Integrated Criminal Justice Information System by sending in his deputies and running off the staff. I don't know how I should feel about this. It seems the legal channels he was trying to use to get control of the system were not working and he just decided to take over by *****.

Not particularly inspiring but the voters keep electing him and I guess that's a measure of their approval. I'm going to keep an eye on this case.
