Rush Limbaugh predicts: Marco Rubio will be president

Even though he's not running for the presidency and may not even be eligible for it, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida will someday hold the highest office in the land, according to talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh.

The top-rated political analyst made the prediction this afternoon while making a point about sticking to candidates with conservative purity instead of promoting moderate Republicans.

"You want conservative purity," said Limbaugh, "I'll give it to you: Marco Rubio, who is someday going to be president of the United States."

He made the statement as part of an in-depth discussion on whether conservatives should remain faithful to their values, or become more moderate.

He cited Rubio, an unabashed conservative, who defeated former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, often described as a moderate, in the race for U.S. Senate.

I'd welcome him as a candidate this year... Dr. Paul "scares" people too much, so Rubio would be a good palatable candidate. The rest of the GOP field sucks ass.

Unless Rubio is made of bacon, gravy and has a cream filling, I doubt Rush will be interested in him for too long.

Hmmmm, cream filling :rubbel:

On a serious note, it would be really great if he were to become president. From what I've heard of him he'd be a make a good candidate, but I wonder if he'd consider being the VP for any of the guys running for the top spot, I mean, between him or Palin I think he'd be a better choice.

That is unless it's Palin/Rubio.... HAPPY NIGHTMARES, MY FELLOW LIBS!!

Rubio is just another pretty face for the powers to roll out in front of the masses. The Hispanic vote will be more powerful than the black vote in the next election

it didn't really do much to convince me he wasn't a chickenshit racist

maybe he meant that in a way of actually exposing racism rather than being racist.
Lets be real here.
Almost every major city has a black mayor.
Why? You know why.
Obama , had he been all white, or even a more white looking mixed race or a darker one at that, wouldn't have had a chance against Hillary.
The Dems, both politicians and most democrats and even many republicans chucked her in the trash and promoted and voted for Obama not because of his intelligence, experience, plans, ect but because he was just the right shade of brown. Thats true racism right there.
Just face it, its true.

Re: Marco Rubio will be president

Given the financial crisis the western world is in now, I wouldn't expect miracles to happen under any president for years to come... maybe it's not a good time for Rubio to run for the high office.

What percentage of the voting block did each the hispanics and the blacks make up for in 2008?
Don't the blacks make up for something like 8% of the population while the hispanics are nearly in the majority?
