Alright....in all seriousness....I'm considering getting a 3D printer, the kind that actually fabricates objects out of different materials. all kinds of companies are using them to make prototype parts, and then actual final assembly parts, including Boeing and Jaguar. They can make things with rubber or plastic, and I believe foam rubber. I have been asked in the past to make molds of my pussy, ass, and feet. this tends to be exspensive and time consuming to do. With these printers you just scan the part with a laser scanner, like the scan guns at the grocery store, and it completely duplicates that object...it's fucking incredible really,( if you haven't seen it type it into Youtube). Anyway....what do you think you would personally pay for a rubber full size reproduction of my, or really any of your favorite stars, body part? I think I could do it if I got around $100 per part, but don't know yet. I know some other porn stars have done their pussies and such, but I won't have a factory spitting out 100,000 of them to keep costs down...Let em know what you think!

If you go to whichever category you want (i.e. Freeones Talk), you should see near the upper right hand corner(just above the top thread of the page) is a heading "FORUM TOOLS". It has a little arrow, that's the drop down menu. Hope that helps.*g*

At first glance the 3-D printer sounds fascinating ! Although it still seems somewhat experimental, and, presently, its' primary commercial use appears to be for the production of extremely specialized engineering parts.

In addition to the actual printer cost, the material costs of what you would make your sexual prosthetics out of would need to be considered (foam/rubber/plastic), as well as other possible extraneous expenses involved with the production process (additional computers/ software/ equipment upkeep). Also the actual designing/scanning/duplication process seems somewhat technical and complicated.

I've seen videos discussing theoretical applications for the 3-D printer production of sex toys, but I think you might want to find someone (Pornstar/ small business entrepreneur) who is actually doing it, and making money at it, before you try it...Then you can follow their mentorship....Or if you want to be an innovator, first take an official poll on your site to determine serious interest at $100.00 per unit (based on your initial estimations).

If the interest is substantial then you would need to make an initial equipment and materials investment to create a prototype by which you could determine the actual per unit cost/price....

Then you would probably want to only take pre-orders at that price, based on the prototypes, so as to prevent going too far into the red before actually seeing the potential of profits.

Sounds like a very interesting and innovative idea, Mandy! and possibly lucrative as well !!

While I appreciate your well thought out feedback, I think you need to take a second look at the 3D printers. There are schools all over using them to make items that **** are designing in auto CAD. They use up to 100 different materials, depending on the model, and there is no need for prototypes....it IS the prototype AND the final product! You'll see them everywhere soon, I bet 3-5 years they will become cheap enough that home models will be taking hold. I am definitely investing in 3 of these companies that are at the forefront of this. Theyare used for all types of non-technical work now, ...really ...youtube it and look at several videos...I believe it will be a hge change for our future....like regular printers and cell phones have been. :)
