Cool story refreshing to see there's others like myself who would do something like that.

but why doesn't anybody.
1. Get a ladder like the guy finally did, and then take the eggs down before they hatch? or (I don't know if this holds true for that breed of ducks?? but if mommy would dis-own the hatchlings or the eggs because a human touched them?.)
They could put a matress or some other form of soft landing on the sidewalk below the ledge too ensure the little duckies have a safe landing.

and so they don't wander off early, they could temporarily fence that little area off until they've all the baby ducks have made it too the ground safely & then transport them to the water. :dunno::2 cents::hatsoff:
