So, some or more of you may have noticed over the last day or so that many words and terms are now being censored by the board.
This is a decision that has been taken by FreeOnes management in response to a 'no-go' word and terms list that was handed to the site and board by the current payment processor that FreeOnes is working with. The site was handed an ultimatum - censor these words / terms now or we will end our business with you. Essentially, the site was left with no choice.
Now I want to make it clear that management considers this a temporary solution. They are completely aware that the current situation is not good for visitors, members, sponsors or staff. They are exploring other options and are hoping to slowly remove words and terms from the list over the coming weeks while a dialogue is entered into with the payment processor.
I absolutely acknowledge that members will find this prohibitive and annoying in a number of ways. I even expect that this announcement itself will fall foul of the censor. But rest assured that management are working on it as the priority task on the site right now.
In the meantime, I would suggest members continue posting as normally as they can. This is going to be an exception to our usual very strict rule - if you want to find a workaround for certain words and terms, you will not be warned for this. But only as relates to terms and words - any previous URLs that were blocked will stay that way.
Obviously, I'm sure some of you will have a response for this. The thread will be monitored by management and staff so your concerns will be noted. The full list of words that may be censored on the board currently is below.
