for any madden fans out here the cover for madden 2010 has been annouced it will be cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald and steelers S Troy Polamalu

for those that dont know they say there is a madden curse anyone on the cover has retired the next year or gotten hurt with a season ending injury or has gotten record low stats

While the curse is true in some cases, its really just a bunch of bologna if you ask me.

As for Fitzgerald and Polamalu being on the cover, each is very well deserved. I'm a bit surprised that Polamalu didn't get it sooner, but hey - he still got it.

Gotta get it. Two dudes with magnificent manes of hair and not to mention they are tremendous players. But can the curse exist with Madden retired?

The "curse" is mainly do to picking people to be on the cover that are in their prime and after having a career year. So coming back from that is more do to a statistical concept know as "regression to the mean".

those two deserve it but if i was in marketing i would of put the man the legend john madden himself on the cover since he is reitiring

the problem with the madden "curse" is that it ended in 2005 when Ray Lewis was on the cover....didn't get hurt....and his stats didn't really drop off terrbily that season.
