Longest You've Waited For Pizza...

What is the longest you've waited to have a pizza delivered?

I ordered pizza a few minutes after 5PM and it is now 6:40PM (and some change, by the time I post this). This isn't the first time I've had to wait forever for a fucking pizza either. The longest I've ever waited was almost 3 HOURS.

I understand that traffic can be bad or whatever, but...3 HOURS? Seriously, it should never take that long.

Maybe I'm just lucky but have never waited more that half an hour for a pizza.

Any longer than that I'd refuse to pay for it.

when I worked as a driver the longest it ever took me was like an hour, and that was because it was at a hotel which they failed to mention to me, and then I had to find the room. the guy was a little pissed, but he still gave me a good tip, which was really surprising.

I never had anyone refuse to pay, I'm not sure what I would have done.

I delivered a pizza that was about 30-40 minutes late. This guy who was much bigger then me opened the door and said; 'Give me one good reason why I don't kick the shit out of you right now'.
To which I calmly replied (though very 'concerned' on the inside) : 'I can't think of one'.
He stood there for a few seconds as I grabbed the metal bar my boss gave me to keep in the pizza bag (it was a rough area). He then grabbed the pizza, gave me the money and slammed the door.
He even gave me a tip.


My longest wait? I dunno, but a whole lot less then 3 hours. I would cancel it long before then.

I would have just turned around, got in my car and drove off and then told my boss that he threatened me. If he doesn't like waiting, he's really going to not like never getting a pizza delivered to him again.

He prolly was expecting to find his dope dealer at the threshold, but nooooo ! It had to be a one, tardy LBP ! <conspiracy theory of the day> :tongue:

I normally pick up my pizza from an Italiano Restorante, one that actually tosses the dough :spin: yum! . When I call the other fast food pizza joints, it is under an hour. I suppose that timing is everything. I know that 18:30 hours on a Fri. or Sat. night that the time frame would be extended.
Anything over an hour and a 1/2 is ridiculous, the restaurant is trying to cut costs via under staffing, IMO.

last Saturday at my brother's house after the Santos FC match we waited the pizza for like 1h/1h30m!

Between one and two hours, because they wrote the address down wrong and it was a new driver.

Still tipped my customary 25% AND got an almost free pizza. Had to pay a buck for pepperoni on it, and I tipped $1 for that. (Hey, we're talking 100% tip there.)

If the pizza isn't delivered in 30 mins I phone up to find out what is going on.
Usually arrives within 10 mins of phoning up to complain.

always order dominos, because they guarantee the pizza to be delivered hot or its free, if their is no domininos near by just go and pick up the fucking pizz, because it costs less

i hate it when they say "that'll be $16.00"..........& u give them a $20 & they say "i dont have change" & they want u to say "oh, go ahead & keep it"...........screw them. im not giving them a $4 tip......so i always make sure i have the correct amount of change. How could they not have change? There delivering pizzas & have lots of change. Lying bastards.

I sat in the restaurant for about 45 minutes to an hour drinking water and waving away the waiters before I realised Pizza wasn't going to show up.

Being stood up by Pizza was a humiliating experience, so to get my own back I ordered an Italian cousin of his, Pasta.

In contrast, Pasta arrived promptly and on balance, more to my taste. We had one hell of a night.

Needless to say, When Pizza found out the next morning, he was left cold and dried out.
