It does not matter what age a musician is. He may be five years old, he may be a hundredandfive, if he's good, he's good :2 cents:

I wish I could write in English...

Topic does not really relate to the music, but complety different matter.

But it is better to forget the whole thing.

OK, as long as this is a language-barrier thing and not you being completely weird, we can let it slide. I was on the phone with some people who were going to .......... help with your "special" problem, but I'll go ahead a cancel.

But you're damn straight I'm going to keep the number handy.

Thomas and Mayhem.

I'm sorry.

I can not explain in your language what I mean, but this link may help you understand what I'm trying to say:

http://www.city-data.com/forum/music/727752-too-many-young-people-today-listening.html

I'm not going to read all the pages, but I read the first, and there it's all about music. :dunno:

But might it be possible that you mean that these youngsters nowadays don't have idols anymore like we used to know them? That the hip hope generation just have some "mayfly" (simply translated "one day fly") music bands, and they can't stick to one band and become a real fan of them?

Oh, and English, by far ain't my mother tongue either. I was born and raised in Belgium, mother tongue Dutch (or Flemish if you like ;))

And what's wrong with Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest and Iron maiden?

Nothing, he never said there was something wrong with them. He obviously based this topic on the one he saw on the board he put a link of. It's just not that obviously for Assaro to explain where he wants to go with this thread.

That's right, young people have to listening to their parent's music and it is unfortune.

Strange because you can write English as well as the Yanks and the Brits.

I thought English was taught throughout the schools of Scandinavia.

That's only because Belgium is a small country with three official languages, but if we want ourselves to be heard, we need to do it in languages everyone understands, so mainly English. Personally I speak 6 languages, and learing a seventh as we speak.

Those band are just as rebellious and dangerous as Frank Sinatra.

They do not offer youth music.

They are too old.

You are an old man, and a fool!

Fuck! This is one of those moments that I feel that I have been in a time warp or something. I have spent the past four or five years convinced that he had died. I can only attribute this to when the other Paul Young died that some media outlet had announced it as the "Everytime You Go Away" Paul Young and not the Mike and The Mechanics one.

I am glad to know I was mistaken, because I always liked him. But flabbergasted that I was not aware of this until now.
Rather than admit you made a mistake wouldn't it have been easier to go out and kill him for real? You could have represented yourself in court, played the race card or something.

I think it's the opposite, the youngsters of today generally listen to the garbage produced by all these young reality tv 'artists' and then you have millions following the likes of 17 year old Bieber, following the crowd like mindless sheep. I actually wish the younger generation would look at the artists of the 70s, 80s and 90s and pick out the quality songs because they actually enjoy listening to it and it's not just a current fad, good music is timeless and should appeal to anyone of any age, just look at the comments on YouTube under Michael Jackson vids and you'll see many comments from teens saying they love the songs compared to what is around today despite never knowing MJ in his prime. Problem with modern music is that an 'artist' can get signed up to a top label by just appearing on a reality TV show whether they are good or not (as long as the public likes them) which means lots of bad singers with no longevity get into the mainstream, back in the 80s and 90s musicians had to work on their acts for years and needed to be better songwriters, performers and vocalists in order to secure a contract which ensured only the best acts really made it.
