Can you believe it?
The Mayor of Brazosport, Texas proposed a city ordinance making the use of the word "******" punishable by up to a $500 fine.
What a shitstorm that caused!
Besides the usual arguments, people were outraged at what a racist law that would be...the single most common usage of that word is among black Americans, and can you imagine trying to hand out citations to them for (or playing) saying it?
Jesse Jackson woulda **** himself getting to Brazosport, clawing past Al Sharpton to get to the head of the line!
Yet almost no one expected to enforce it on anyone but "white" folks...how racist is that?
Never mind the actual history of the word; PC monitors everywhere have decided it's ok for Black Americans to freely use the word, but white Americans aren't allowed to.
The crowd of citizens who showed up for the hearing were equally mixed racially, and most were against the ordinance...duh!
