How does the extravagance of this marriage (#4) square with the fiscal conservative viewpoints that Limblob supposedly spews every day on the radio?

Is this basically another hypocritical --do as I say not as I do-- kind of moment?

Is everyone okay with the age spread between the Mister and the Mrs :dunno: Isn't this a bigger age gap than Clinton/Lewinsky?

I'm far more disappointed in all this with Sir Elton John than anything else...

Then again, I HAVE heard that Rush tends to pal around with a pretty liberal circle of friends off-radio (Seth Macfarlane, for example). There is more than a passing chance that Limbaugh simply knows how to make money by tossing fodder out to a particular segment of the populace.

Aside from that what are people so up in arms about? Instead of saying how tolerant and accepting of Rush Limbaugh to be doing this people are still finding a way to bash him and make Elton John look bad in the process too.

And so what if Rush Limbaugh has anything to do with liberals outside of the political arena. Oooh! You saying liberals have to stick with liberals and conservatives have to stick with conservatives? I thought segregation was over.

Well... guess I have to tell my liberal friends I can no longer have anything to do with them according to some political code I just found out about. Despite them being good people, I'll end it swiftly, and move on to 100% conservative friends and acquaintances. No more liberals! God forbid should I become 100% libertarian. Where would that leave me?

It was an honest mistake unlike the 15,000 "Ask Me..." threads and the corresponding 20,000 "Don't Ask Me..." threads, although I have been thinking for a while that FreeOnes needs a duplicate checking algorithm when you submit a new thread.

Yeah. When I use the search function sometimes a thread does not come up so I rarely use that unless I have time to search, wait twenty seconds, search again, wait twenty seconds, etc. and then find out despite a thread not showing up it was actually made and on page three or four.

I guess I will just stick to creative versus, asking, and who would you threads...

I'd say Limbaugh's net worth presents the best evidence about his financial smarts.

As for what he rails out against on the radio, I would encourage you to listen to the guy. I don't expect him to change your mind on anything, and that's fine, but it would be nice for people to actually realize what he does stand for instead of just forming their opinions on him from what they hear from their other liberal minded friends.

I'm not a "dittohead" by any means, but I do agree with a lot of what the guy has to say. Knowing Rush, I'm sure he would have no problem at all with someone who spent a lot of money on a wedding, as long as it was their own money. When he has a problem with people spending lavishly, it is because it is it is those in the government spending money that other people worked hard to earn.

Yeah, the current search function is pretty hit or miss in that regard. Adding a dupe checker would be pretty easy, and I think a worthwhile addition, (not because of you though, I typically enjoy your submissions )

You know, Al Gore is getting separated from Tipper. If ol' Al decides to shack up with someone else later on, good for him. It doesn't matter what their political views are, if they can find someone they're happy with I'm happy for them. The fact that I've seen libs around here just bashing Rush for doing exactly that sort of makes it evident that liberals generally are just bitter people and not the champions of "tolerance" they claim to be.

I mean, if Rush uses HIS OWN hard earned money to have a huge wedding, did he force any of us to contribute to his wedding? So far no Rush goon has come over to audit me and demand money from me. Did Rush apply to the government to send him money for that wedding? Of course not and if any of you says he did, prove it.
