Here's some new pictures :) This is from my Time photo set, featuring my new hour glass dildo. Pretty neat.

I just downloaded that actually... great set. And your hair looks awesome in this one! :)

Of course jitna is going to very depressed when he find out there's more tongue pics in this one and you didn't post any of them... :D

It's not that people don't care. It's an extremely difficult habit to break. Hell, smoking is undoubtedly the prime reason I have gum disease and that hasn't stopped me. It's a great incentive to quit, but even if I didn't have this issue I would still want to quit.

Well, if it's any consolation it's really not much trouble if you make it through the first week. That's when the physical side of the addiction loses it's hold. After that I think staying quit is mostly a matter of spending the next month or so avoiding doing things which will more or less provoke you to smoke. For me that was ********. Always smoked when I drank (Hell, ******** is why I started smoking...), so when I was quitting and decided to go ******** it was just a pain in the butt because, aside from my inhibitions being lowered by the ***** (thus making me more prone to give in to my urges), I was just so use to combining the two activities that it was hard as Hell to stick with just one...

While I do tend to like smoking a lot when I'm ********, that's not the main time I smoke. It's going to be absolutely impossible to avoid activities that cause urges to smoke because I smoke all the time, like I mentioned after eating, when I **** up, before bed, watching tv, etc. I can't avoid eating, waking up, going to *****, watching movies, or eating.

Yeah, but a lot of those will associate back to the addiction as opposed to the habit. I used to smoke in all of those situations too, and after the first week none of them bothered me. It's likely less about habit, and more about your body trying to regulate it's nicotine levels. You smoke when you **** up because it's low, before bed to keep it high, etc.. Those aren't the same as your triggers. Triggers are almost entirely habitual. ******** was more or less, as I found out, my only real trigger that could send me back to smoking after the addiction was broken.

Hmm. In the spirit of "AMA"...

Since you've got a few disparate health issues goin' right now, I'll ask; How are you feeling today?

Today I'm good. Been sitting at the computer for a good portion of the day scanning and posting on FO, and gonna watch Magic Mike later. Haven't seen it yet and I figured I might as well jump on this bandwagon, see what all the fuss is about.
Not looking forward to getting my teeth removed next Monday. Ugh.

Well, they've been causing you problems, right? So it should be good in the long run.

When I had all of mine out it wasn't too bad, honestly. In a few days it was mostly fine. Though from what I recall you were mostly not looking forward to it due to the financial aspect.

Financially, yes it is bothersome. It's gonna be over $500 for just the 2 teeth removed, then I still have my top right wisdom tooth removed at some point.
I'm worried about it since they're not going to be putting me to *****, all they're doing is numbing me. It better be quick. Also worried about them hitting the nerve underneath my bottom wisdom tooth, since they said that if they do, which there's a good chance they will, it's possible that I'll be forever numb in one spot in my mouth, up toward the front left side of my mouth. I don't want to lose sensation there for my rest of my life :(

Well, have a big *****. ***** well. *** lots.

Best advice for most every situation.

What's the supposed to help with?

Well, in the grand scheme of things $500 isn't too bad. So at least there's that.

Hmm, I thought you were insisting on being put out? What happened there?

Also, how bad is it likely to be if you lose sensation in that part of your mouth? Honestly I'm not sure what the fallout to that would be. It seems a pretty random spot, and I'm not sure how losing feeling there would effect day-to-day life. There's probably something, but it doesn't just immediately pop into my brain...

Actually $500 is awful for me. That's about a 1/4 of my bank account, and it'll take me another couple months to get to this amount of money again. It's depressing as ****. I make maybe... $200 every couple weeks, total, sometimes a little more, sometimes less.

Have you ever been numbed at the dentist? You know how you can't feel that part of your mouth for a couple hours after you leave, and when you try to eat or ***** you're not sure if you're even closing your lips around your fork/sandwich/straw/whatever? I'd like to physically be able to feel my food, feel my guy's lips completely, feel whether my mouth is positioned properly over his dick when I'm going down on him. The sense of touch is very important to me.

Eh. Yeah, I can see how that would hurt you financially. I'm just saying that generally having wisdom teeth out is several thousand. So... at least there's that. May not be much, but it's something you can sort of take solace in.

And yeah, I've been numbed. I've had my two front teeth root canaled after they were knocked loose in a fist fight. When you were talking about it I more or less assumed you were referring to around the teeth and jaw. Didn't think it would extend into the lips. Yeah, I can see that being awkward. Well, as always, you have my best wishes there.

I have to ask where?? I have had two out and each time it was $160, including the xray. So really if they were both done at once it would have been about $260 for two.

Yeah I dunno about tooth extractions costing anywhere around thousands of dollars. That would be absolutely insane. I'd be tempted to knock them out myself. It's usually no more than $200 per tooth, and even at that I've never heard of it going above that. I don't have insurance either so it's not less costly because of that, it's just the standard pricing without insurance. Perhaps it depends on whether or not you're getting put to *****, as that can be very costly.

Yep, I meant the front of my mouth. Front bottom left side. There's a nerve below your bottom wisdom tooth that runs all along beneath all of your teeth to the front side of your jaw. So that's where the nerve is affected, apparently, according to the dentist who's doing the procedure on me. He's not a student dentist either, thank god for that, I'm so glad it's a real dentist at the school.

This is referring to impacted wisdom teeth, and specifically in New York. That's costly. I actually priced it out. At most places it's about $2,000 for all four in NY under those circumstances. Unless of course the sources I looked at were wrong. It was a quick look, not an in depth search... :dunno:

Yep, my bottom wisdom tooth is impacted. It's a little over $100 for a regular wisdom tooth, more for an impacted one. So I guess that's probably $400 for an impacted wisdom tooth, so yeah if all 4 of my wisdom teeth were impacted it'd be nearly $2,000. But still, that's not several thousand. Also it depends on whether or not the people reporting the prices are including with laughing gas or being put under, as sometimes people do include that as the price to expect to get your teeth removed. The cost of getting an individual tooth removed without all the extras of pain killers and whatnot, it's not quite as pricey.

I was giving the low costs that I saw, however. I saw up to five grand for more expensive clinics where people were only having two removed. Prices seemed to vary drastically, which I imagine is because medicine is barely regulated in the US, where it's decided that the "free market" should reign. There was a rather big exposé on it recently in Time, though it focused more specifically on hospitals.

That could be it. Anesthesia is pretty steep. Like I said, it was a quick look, so I don't know the specific details beyond that it was for impacted wisdom teeth. Was curious as to what the difference would be between getting it done at the school, as opposed to a typical oral surgeon. Might have to look deeper and see about the costs without anesthesia.

Hmm. Did you get a percentage chance of it happening in your exam?

Wow! Get it done in Canada lol. I had a wisdom tooth out a few months ago and my dentist said I had to impacted ones that should come out. He won't do them though (only did my emergency one) and referred me to the only dentist in town that will do it. From what I remember, I believe the quote was $300 (including anesthesia I am pretty sure, but like I said, I'll double check).

Oh yeah, I did really want to be put to ***** but they said they can't do that. I don't know why, but I don't have much of a choice. It's either go to a different dentist and empty my entire bank account, or stay there and deal with it the way it is for cheaper.

Yeah right, get it done in Canada! That's a thought.
