This kind of action by local police departments must be forcefully terminated or the charade must end and, as has been called for in this other publications, Oregon and the rest of the West Coast must one way or another leave the United States, given they no longer will abide by federal laws.

It's specific enough to state that the federal government can fix the Standard of Weights and Measures, punish counterfeiters, pirates, and felons, and establish a post office, among many other things, but any mention of immigration is conspicuously absent.

You're missing the point - the Supremacy Clause. Federal authority trumps local, when there's a conflict - push goes to the house. It's a foundational tenet of our government, and the reason that the federal government can usurp local authorities when they're derelict in their duties as public servants, to uphold the Constitution. Local governments make laws in accord with federal law, and act (theoretically) to uphold those laws - there shouldn't be any conflict, but we did war with ourselves over it once. 😄😉
