"Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) has been cast as the lead in the upcoming live-action adaptation of STREET FIGHTER:LEGEND OF CHUN-LI, reports Comingsoon. The 20th Century Fox film will be directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, based on a screenplay penned by Justin Marks. Production will begin in March 2008 in Thailand."

Personally I don't know what to think of this news because I don't see Chun-Li when I see Lana Lang. I do think Kristin is a talented actress so maybe she could pull off the role. I just hope that this new Street Fighter movie is miles better than the last one with Jean Claude Van-Damme. I also think that the movie should focus on Ryu and his continuing quest to become the world's best fighter rather than Chun-Li.
