Long story short: On a particular adult industry board, The owner of Manwin challenged some Producer director who was critical of Brazzers and their content, to shoot a paid scene for Brazzers and let the Brazzers fans judge if it is good or not. The scene was just a simple solo.
I came into the thread, and asked to be put into this simple competition and also said I will add a Boy/Girl to my Solo, shoot my own stills, shoot my own video, edit my own video and pay for the whole thing myself.
The owner who is named Fabian, was shit! Lets make a contest out of it. Lets make a contest where anyone can enter and compete. The Contest was was made with the Specs I laid out above. Pay for your own scene, Winner take all, no 2nd place.
I was fine with competing against the few people there, but to go against everyone all around the world was pretty daunting. I felt that I kind of put my foot in my mouth when the contest was announced world wide. But I said fuck it!! I know I'm good!!
Saying your good and bragging about how good you are is one thing, but putting up $4,500+ and shooting for a scene for free with a serious possibility, on not winning and loosing all of it, is a different way of saying "I'm good" at this. Its a put your money where your mouth is situation. lol
The funny thing I knew I was good, but I never ever thought I was the best in the adult industry. Shit! I never thought I was the best at anything in life. But I did know Brazzers and I felt I had a unique style and flavor that would make my scene look different and stand out.
So there were two votes, 4 categories. A Brazzers fan vote and Then it was open to the Tube Sites for there votes. I won all 4 categories on both votes.
Winning this Was one of the best feelings ever! There were some bad ass directors that entered. And the crazy thing, there were like 8 bad ass director friends of mine who I absolutely respect that entered and later found out I was competing, heard about the scene I was going to submit and chose not to shoot and submit last minute. Like I said; $4,500+ is a lot to loose. If you are going to compete, you are not competing to be #2.
Do I think I'm the best? No way!. Im a competent director who knows how to capture what I like to see and I have a style of shooting that Porn fans like. Im just a regular guy who knows where he comes from and doesn't forget who put him there...The fans
