True most of them don't understand Sienfield, Jay Leno or Conan O Brien. I think its harder to make older people laught with just stupid silly jokes, just mention any recent good comedy film that has come out.

I wonder how much of it is just different styles of humor that pop up over time. A lot of the slapstick stuff from decades ago I don't really find funny now even though I'm relatively young. I'm sure there were people back then that loved it. I'm sure different generations also have different views on what’s funny just like they differ in clothing and music.
