Before anybody considers joining the military they first better realize if they do there is a good chance of having to go fight, meaning **** people before they **** you. That includes civilians also, who usually are not a threat.
If that's what you want to do then the military is for you.
But if you are a sane person and want to delve a little deeper than you better ask yourself why you may have to go fight, ****, die, get maimed or get so emotionally fucked up that you eventually **** yourself.
I'll give you a start- It ain't to protect your country, your way of life, your friends ****** and countrymen.
The US hasn't needed to be in any war since 1812.
You'll be fighting for psychopaths who don't give a **** about you. You will be fighting some boogeyman these psychpaths created and made you believe are a threat.
You will be fighting for big banks who loan money to all sides during war. Enough for the one they want to win and just not enough for the one they want to lose.
You'll be fighting for the big businesses who make a fortune from war and the corrupt politicians who get rich in kickbacks and bribes from the people who get the contracts.
This is what you'll be ******* people for. This is what you may get ****** for.
You won't be serving your country. You'll be serving it's owners......it's been that way for a very long time.

Add to that the fact that congress keeps either refusing for selfish reasons to vote for bills protecting veterans, or not even being in the goddamn building when this goes down. You are of interest as long as you get prepared and as long as you are out there doing the job.

Get home, the only thing you get are nice parades or words without any truth o them.

Get a job that actually has a meaning and produces something, not is just being a tool.

I'm not going to refute point by point but I'm proud of my service and I'm relatively certain there were a couple world wars that needed our particular brand of whoop ass (not to mention several treaties that were in place requiring our participation. And that whole Pearl Harbor thing.). I got out in 1993 and most of my experience was awesome. I learned my capabilities and weaknesses; saw parts of the world I wouldn't have been able to visit in any other capacity. I formed lifelong relationships with some of the best people I've known and attended several schools to further my career and expand my knowledge and apply that knowledge to perform my duties. I gained a sense of self worth and an esprit de corps that hippy fuckwits will never understand or appreciate. Simply stepping on the yellow painted footprints at the receiving barracks, MCRD San Diego, is ***** to the sucktards of the world who think the military wants automatons.

We were pretty hamstrung by bullshit ROE's in any of the hot spots I went to. Not firing on an enemy until they fire is just fucking infuriating. A weapon and intent should be enough. I prefer *************** in that regard.

Semantics, really. If you're a pussy you believe service men and women are stone cold killers and that stopping the threat of communism/progressives is oppression, that's your prerogative. But recognize it's those service members who protect your right to be a whiny bitch.

I'd further stipulate that the threat of ISIS is real and we need more people willing to put themselves in harm's way to stop them. And the infrastructure has been degraded so badly, thanks to the Clinton(s) and the Obama administrations that the outcome is uncertain.

That.

As I pointed out in another thread, we'd be 70+ years into the 1000 year Third Reich, bowing when crossing paths with our Japanese superiors or receiving free re-education courtesy of the state, if not for the United States serviceman and their sacrifices.

And God forbid you happen to be taken hostage abroad by these 8th century savage types, but you'll be praying in the middle of what could be your last night, that beyond sight or sound, 30,000 ft above you, some of these "tools" are parachuting in and putting their lives on the line to rescue your helpless ass.

Do we really need more people to fight ISIS? Are they really a threat? (our borders are wide open, why aren't they blowing stuff up here everyday?).
If so why are we not joining Syria and fighting them instead of demanding their President leave the country by August "or else"? Which would give ISIS or whatever the media calls them this week complete control of the country.
We did the same in Libya. The US and Nato literally destroyed that country and handed it to ISIS on a Silver Platter. Pretty much the same in Iraq.
And prior to that Radical Muslims were not even allowed in Libya, now they control it.
Youre not going to accept this but I'm gonna say it anyway.
The USA is ISIS. They arm them, they pay them...they hand them over country after country. It's as simple as that but most people can't handle accepting that reality.
It's like a parent who's beautiful ***** has become a no good junkie or *****. Everybody else see's it but momma still thinks he's an angel who can do no wrong.
The USA has losts it's way. It's been usurped by foreign interests who own and control it's politicians and it's media. If any American here really loves their country they better **** up to this fact pretty soon.

I didn't mention the fact that all these countries we destroy now have millions of refugees flooding into Europe. Destroying cultures that are thousands of years old. It's creating chaos and fear all over Europe. How do you think that will end?
This is not a mistake. This is part of the big plan. And the politicians of all these countries who are allowing this are selling their souls.

Animus,

I take it you learned most of what you know about WWI and II from the public school system.
And I'll tell you this too, if you are an American who ever gets stuck in a Middle Eastern war zone the last thing you can count on is the US GOV helping to get your ass out. They don't care about you at all.

I'd further stipulate that the threat of ISIS is real and we need more people willing to put themselves in harm's way to stop them. And the infrastructure has been degraded so badly, thanks to the Clinton(s) and the Obama administrations that the outcome is uncertain.

Feels pretty certain to me - unless they somehow get ahold of an arsenal of ICBMs. Otherwise with no navy, no air ***** and limited mobility they'll continue to be chipped away at until their foundation collapses.
But unfortunately that won't bring an end to terrorism. It looks like we'll be dealing with that for a very long time.

stopping the threat of communism/progressives

Where and how is our national existence threatened by communism?
I'm old enough to well remember the Domino Theory, which proved to be completely specious.

This is part of the big plan.

And this "big plan" will have what outcome, exactly?

The big plan Pool is happening right now. It's in about mid phase I would say.
The plan actually has a name too. It's a combo of the greater israel project and the project for a new american century.
The plan is too destroy Middle Eastern and African countrys by means of war. Ruin those countrys and hand them over to radical muslims.
These are mercenaries, kind of like Frankenstein monsters.
Then millions of arabs, mostly the undesireables who **** western culture with a few of these Frankenstein monsters thrown in the mix
flood into Europe against the will of most Europeans. But the political leaders of these Euro countries are all bought and paid for so they do nothing to stop it, only promote it.
Then throw into the mix false flag ****** attacks which psychologically effect us all.
Mass shootings, bombings, plane crashes, ect all instantly blamed on Muslims but in reality are mostly perpatrated by the CIA and The Mossad.
This causes major fear, distrust and hatred between cultures, and of course excuses to create more and more laws which slowly strip the people of their rights. Even speech is now a crime in many European countries. It's psycholical terrorism and it has a huge effect on us all.
The results of this plan will be civil wars in many if not all European countries.
The people of those countries are only going to take so much. If this happens the governments will probably use their own militarys against its own people.
Of course it might never get that far if the US and Nato decide to go through with their plan on war with Syria, Iran, Russia, and China.
The US can not win this war and they will probably go nuclear rather than agree to peace.
Unless something changes dramatically that is what I see at the end of this road the world is on.
The only way to really understand this is to put your mindset in the view of a psychpath ***** on power and greed.
They are not thinking logically and do not care about anyone and they have no belief in any god or judgement day.
This is who is running the world today. Its very scary.

Thanks babe.

Where have I been?

I have been at work and spent a couple of weeks summer holiday and when a person is spending a vacation he does not need information technology.

You must have noticed that whenever Mr Blue Countach has been ****** I will always come back.

Is it coincidence someone could ask. ;)
