Amazing how Americans (both Black & White) let him down in the latter stages of his life. Even if you do something that lifts your nation up in a time of need, always best to look out for yourself. Because after the battle is won, you can't expect anyone to be there for you. Really sad end to a really amazing man's life.

I'm still waiting to see a motion picture about him and I didn't know they named a stadium after Louis. Joe Louis is still remembered

At least the USPS honored him by issuing a postage stamp honoring the Brown bomber. Also the great Sugar Ray Robinson.
