JFK'S sister and special olympic founder dead at 88

Yes I read this ,she like a lot of Kennedy's committed a lot of their lives to service to others. In your link it said.

""When the full judgment on the Kennedy legacy is made — including JFK's Peace Corps and Alliance for Progress, Robert Kennedy's passion for civil rights and Ted Kennedy's efforts on health care, work place reform and refugees — the changes wrought by Eunice Shriver may well be seen as the most consequential," Harrison Rainie, author of "Growing Up Kennedy," wrote in U.S. News & World Report in 1993. "

I don't know if thats true but it may be given that she got to live a fairly full life unlike three of her brothers whose lives were cut short. The world and america would have been so very different and better IMO if JFK and even more so RFK had lived. Her eldest brother was of course Joe Jr kiiled during ww2.

R.I.P. Eunice

Um, she can't read these posts. Now that's out of the way, I volunteered for several years with Special Olympics and I've never been associated with a better organization. Her husband, Sargent Shriver, was the original organizer and she took up the reins after he passed away.

This is the legacy the Kennedy family should be remembered for.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
She seemed to be more into (pure) public service than some of her relatives. May she R.I.P.
