James Deen: Am I alone?

My whole problem with this event is why take it to the court of social media unless your game is to simply ruin someone? Rape is a serious allegation and should be treated as such. IF James raped Stoya and these other women, they need to take their happy asses down to the police station and file charges. The statute of limitations on sexual assault is 6 years and there's NO limitation on aggravated rape in California.

In her blog Kelli Roberts says that Stoya for one tried and the police did not act on it.

I've known him for 7 years and worked with him multiple times, including a Pornstar Punishment scene and he was never anything other than respectful and very easy to work with. Not once did he try anything off-camera and he was one of the most professional male talent that I ever worked with in more than 14 years in the business.

In my experience though, there are directors/producers who know who to try shit on and who not to. The only time anyone ever tried anything on me was when an editor at Vivid saw me at the office when I was picking up a check and offered me $1500 to come to his house and have sex with he and his wife. I've had male talent ask if I'll pee on them off camera but it was a request (that I declined) not a demand.

If James has been doing what they claim then he needs to go to jail and face the music.

Firstly, I don't see how WHEN someone worked in the industry is relevant? And statistically speaking, the odds that she is the so called fabricating victim kind compared to someone who is telling the truth, are overwhelmingly in Stoya's favour. Legally he is presumed innocent but the odds don't stack in his favour at all.

According to this link, Ashley Fires has never worked with him for very similar reasons, unwanted sexual attention/contact. His career could be over at the very least....sounds like a complete tool but I'm starting to wonder if I have any scenes with him anywhere? Not sure I could watch them now :/

Up until the other girls stepped up, I just figured it was suspect that she'd come out with this some time after the fact. I get now that it could be fear and cops not being helpful and taking seriously. So I thought it could, not is, "could" be her trying to shit on his name. I'm not a fan of his at all by the way. Now with other girls sharing their story, yeah the odds are against Deen.

Kayden Kross is backing up the allegations from Stoya and claiming that dealing with the Police was a very difficult matter. Lisa Ann and Asa Akira have come out in support of Deen, with Lisa Ann saying that Stoya had no business airing dirty laundry on Twitter and that this mess amounts to a "Witch Hunt". Lisa Ann has also posted her thoughts on the matter as it relates to her relationship with James Deen.

This sounds like more than dirty laundry personally.....and just because there are those who have said he was nice to them, etc doesn't mean he wasn't to others. It's like when they interview neighbours when they find out the guy next door was a serial killer. How many of them say 'he was such a nice guy and kept to himself'? I'm not saying he's guilty but those who are supporting him can't prove he isn't either. Hopefully truth will come out and justice will be done either way, because if he is guilty I wanna go all Samuel L Jackson and say Yes he deserves to die and I hope he burns in hell! And if he isn't, I'll just steer clear of his porn....I hate most of his slappin and choking and whatnot.

I really would have liked to find out he was wrongly accused. I don't think this can be the case anymore.

i'm disturbed by this for a couple of reasons. i abhor any "man" who would do violence to a woman, sexual violence in particular. i've dealt with women who have been assaulted and abused and it makes my blood boil to even hear about it. having said that, i'm uneasy about the idea of social media being the judge, jury and executioner of anyone. "because i said so" isn't proof beyond a reasonable doubt and, as we all know, once something is said on social media, it can't get unsaid. don't get me wrong, i read stoya's blog and i get that being in the industry and/or a "sex worker" means that things are more difficult, but i'm a person who wakes up every day guilty until proven innocent because of the color of my skin, so i value due process very highly. what is becoming clear to me is that something in the porn industry needs to change, but that change has to be initiated by those in the industry. if deen did these things then the other people on set need to come forward and speak up. though i'm sure, like most every industry, porn is male dominated but without the women porn would die. as supportive as they are being towards one another on twitter and facebook, why aren't women becoming more of a force to prevent predators from exploiting the industry to troll for victims? at the end of the day, if deen is guilty then his ass should go under the jail, but to excoriate him on twitter (which has no repercussions for him other than embarrassment and defamation, he stands to do no jail time nor any legal liability) and that's it doesn't make sense to me. is this a new form of vigilante justice?

I think that those incidents were not in a total absence of persons in the same rooms, as porn shoots go. And as more and more of the women came forward, things got more solid. As it was with Bill Cosby:

Now Farrah Abraham - the star of MTV's Teen Mom who did a sex-tape with James Deen - has come forward with claims that James Deen drugged and raped her multiple times during their brief time together after the sex-tape was made. She also claims that she needed therapy after her time with Deen. Sydney Leathers claims that Joanna Angel warned her about Deen and told her to avoid him because he has boundary issues and likes to "break women". Ashley Fires has further stated that James Deen may have raped Jessie Cox during a Kink shoot because he suddenly and violently attacked her and then carried her off from the shooting area to another part of the building where nobody was watching over him.

James Deen has come forward in an interview with Aurora Snow and denied all the allegations against him, claiming they are the product of Stoya's unstable personality that destroyed their relationship and that others are making similar allegations at the behest of someone who has been paying them significant money - he claims to have been contacted by several performers who have been offered money to make statements against him - to make claims that support Stoya's allegations. He doesn't go into specifics as to who might be paying people to turn on him.

James Deen's House Raided Following AHF Complaint
LOS ANGELES—Both the LA Weekly and The Real Porn WikiLeaks (TRPWL) are reporting that inspectors from Cal/OSHA as well as members of the Los Angeles Police Department raided the home of adult director/performer James Deen, apparently in response to a complaint filed by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) in early December.
According to AHF's faithful scribe at the Weekly, Dennis Romero, "The foundation, which has been critical of the adult video industry for its reluctance to adopt condom use on-set, says it 'filed a formal "Notice of Alleged Safety or Health Hazards" complaint against Deen with OSHA.' ... "James Deen could be cited for workplace violence as well as health and safety violations," [AHF president Michael] Weinstein said."

The reference to "workplace violence" refers to the several adult performers who came forward in November and December to accuse Deen of raping or otherwise sexually assaulting them, though to date, none have filed formal charges against Deen.

According to Romero, Erika L. Monterroza, director of communications for Cal/OSHA confirmed that a raid on Deen's house had taken place, but no further details were revealed—not even what the investigators were looking for during the raid.

However, Sean of TRPWL reports that the OSHA investigators have determined that there was no violation found during the raid, but that the investigators took photos of Deen's upcoming shoot schedule—so any performers who are scheduled to work for Deen in the near future should double-check dates, times and places for those shoots with Deen.
