I'm not a fan of Max Hardcore, but there's no doubt in my mind that the Feds were out to get him. All they needed was for him to send his material to a community where his material would likely be seen as obscene. And he obliged them. Outside of child porn, obscenity charges generally rely on "prevailing community standards" to get convictions. I've heard that Max was pretty weird and extreme. But is his material any worse than Meat Members or the many, various femdom sites that portray castrations and female on male strapon rapes? How about the sites that feature Annie Cruz or Flower Tucci squirting/pissing? IMO, these cases are like the fellow who, when asked if it was slick outside on a winter day, replied, "it just depends on where you step." :dunno:
On a local interstate, a truck driver was found to have some porn DVD's in his truck when he got stopped for something else, and he was charged with "possession of obscene material." Just regular fuckie/suckie stuff, that most people here probably have. But he smarted off to the cop during the traffic stop and so they popped those charges on him too. Hopefully our cute lil pal Got Gisele never makes any enemies in high places. Cause where I live, her material would likely be seen as obscene too. She looks good in most anything (or nothing) - but I don't think prison stripes would suit her.
Even though I may not care for his material, just on general principle, I have to put myself in the Free Max Hardcore camp too.
