If only the picture was any bigger, I'd be able to give you an objective answer. However, since the image is only about 6 pixels long by 2 pixels wide, I'm ****** to say that I can't see jack ****.

Suitableness of attire depends on the situation/function at hand. For example - does the "date" involve 'parents' of any kind?
For the record, I think that's a lovely dress - provided it suits the person wearing it.
