Is there any harm in cats drinking tea??

My cat sometimes like to go after the tea that I've let go cold. No milk or sugar. Just tea, and she seems to like it. This has gone on for a couple years. Anyone know of any specific harm I might be doing her?

If it's caffeinated, it's not very good for her.

I've thought about that, but it's a truly small quantity she drinks at any given time. With no ill effects that I can tell, so far.

Too much tea can lead to constipation.
Thats what my doctor told me when I couldn't **** for 3 days.
He asked me if I was drinking a lot of tea (Iced or hot) and I, being a frequent Iced Tead drinker, answered yes and I had the answer to my problem.:2 cents:

its actually recommended that you give cats an occasional tincture of certain teas.

however, i dont recall which kinds. obviously, low caffeine is a given. ive always wanted to do this for mine but never actually done it. now where's my fucking book?

tea has amazing health benefits and cats do enjoy lots of herbs. it only makes sense.

I added a human characteristic to that cat based on the notion that many poets enjoy composing while drinking tea. In other words, a badly worded joke.

If the tea contains caffeine it would not be safe. Tea is considered a diuretic and this could dehydrate cats as well.

Caffeine causes the following symptoms: tachycardia, tachypnea, hyperexcitability, tremors, seizures, premature ventricular beats. Dilatation of coronary, pulmonary, and systemic vessels may cause congestion or hemorrhage. The lethal dose for caffeine is 150 mg/kg for cats.
