Is Ronaldo Losing it?

Like the topic says, is Ronaldo losing his touch? I personally still like the guy and want to defend him. It seems that the boards over at ESPN and the Brazilian media are giving him hell.

I do remember thinking to myself when I saw him against Croatia that he was struggling and standing around. However, Ronaldhino had a quiet game as well. At this point, it does seem like Robhino is the better option, but people are too quick to judge after one performance of a game. I'm glad that he is still starting vs Australia on Sunday.

Thoughts? Discuss.

i dont think he is...i heard the only reason he werent playing well because he had a row with his girlfriend..but then again, that shouldn't be an excuse

Right first, after the game he was taken to hospital because he was complaining of dizziness and headaches. He was released the next morning to resume train as they found nothing wrong.

They are not only getting at him for one bad game, he carrying way too much weight for one. Not only that he's had a very bad season all round with injury and loss of form. This is why they are getting at him, not just because of that one game.

I feel a bit sorry for him.
So much is expected of him and of Brazil, even to the extent that he plays when injured.

Ronaldo when fit has been the best player since Maradona, pre 98 he was just scary how good he was. He's always just been unlucky with injuries and in the 98 final he's fit caused him major problems.

I still think he will come back and score the goals and hopefully break Gerd Muller's record (needs 2 world cups to break it).

He's a player you just can't right off. Even this season, one of his worst to date he still gave an all time classic performance against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Also think Adriano was nearly as bad and had a great chance to feed Ronaldo in, early in the game.

He's been **** for England though.

as mentioned on sbs during the match, it would take a brave coach to "drop" ronaldo.

he scored against japan (not sure how many times) but hopefully thats gets his confidence back.

He is still in Brazils best 11 players, but he definitely isnt as good as he used to be, is probably around 8 -9 best player meaning come next year he wont play anymore

Scored 2. Could and perhaps should have scored a lot more. HOwever if his confidence is coming back then perhaps something special may happen for him during the rest of the tournament. I personally wouldn't play him though. I'd go with Adriano and Fred.
