Well?

Most slams with 16.
Most consecutive weeks at #1
All time money winner.
2004-07 nobody could touch him.
11 slams in 3 seasons? GTFO.

There's a lot of talk of Federer not being the GOAT because of his lousy record against Nadal. (which is skewed because of Nadals dominance on clay) But if Federer isn't the GOAT, who is? Sampras? He didn't win a French Open. Did he even make it to the final? He's out. Nobody else comes close. Like Jordan, and Tiger, Federer was beating people before the match started. He was in peoples heads. He's the greatest of all time.

I don't know the first thing about tennis :(

knows petras secret: she farted.
hes a great player, theres no doubt about it. hes not my personal favourite but i do prefer him over roddick and nadal. i think he's technically better than nadal.. sometimes. and djokovich (my favourite), i hope to see keep going on his path of greatness. hes such a humble winner. but its too soon to tell. these guys all have a lot of tennis to play.

but to compare these guys to the old guys like borg is a toughy. you know how it is, with sport like this, everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. whos to say thats its better to be a server than a passing shot kinda guy?

ive been playing steadily lately, so im getting into the fundamentals of tennis a lot more. but, i dont have tv anymore so i dont catch any games now. kinda sucks. the hell with the rest of tv, though.

also, i do prefer womens tennis overall. a) they are much more pleasant on the eye. b) i much prefer their game of trickery, technique, and accuracy over power.

Many great players where at the end of their careers when Federer pick up the pace, so its trick to say but most definitely he accomplished a lot more then others before him(well oiled machine he was).

persona non grata

What? The women´s game is almost only about power, and has been so pretty much since Martina Hingis quit playing. The only top players i can think of that uses technique and trickery to win matches are Radwanska and Schiavone.

Money is irrelevant. The new guy always has an advantage over the guys who played in granddad's era.

He's in the discussion for best ever. Tough to be definitive when we're talking about different eras.

Is somewhere outhere.
I think Nadal will overtake him and then maybe Djokovic overtake Nadal  But I still think
Murray will be another Henman :1orglaugh

I think he's the greatest ever.
Who else? Bjorn Borg? Agassi? Nadal? Djokovic?
I don't think so. If you look to the palmares of Federer, you have to admit he's THE greatest so far.

Maybe so far in my lifetime but Nadal & Djokovic will be passing him soon. You forgot to mention the
Australian Rod Laver who won all the Grand Slams in the same year - Twice!! (In 62 & 69) Federer has
never done that,so Laver has to be better than Federer by a long shot.
