Is Rap Music THIS Profitable?

I would be content in life with a million dollars.

Ugh, I live in the same city as this guy. He is like a local legend around here. Gotta give it to him though. By all respects he has outlasted Hammer nearly 6 fold and from what I hear from people he actually makes pretty good business investments. . . .errr..except for this little stunt of course. Remember, people used to think 50cent was an idiot until he made big money with that vitamin water thing.

lol don't hate on the *****. if you read the article and remembered his name then the publicity stunt worked tada. he will have about 2mil worth of free advertising from all the haters worldwide and net himself a free bugatti

funny how quick people are to criticize him over it...yet if they had that much excess money you know they wouldn't just be sitting on it twiddling their thumbs just getting by...:2 cents:

If anything, good move by him. Thats actually a car worth buying when you have that kind of money. Who wants another boring benz or bentley

So, for whom would it be appropriate to buy this car? Bugati's making them so apparently someone's buying them. If a WASP corporate CEO or CFO bought one with a portion of his 50 million dollar salary which was subsidized by we taxpayers via a bailout, would that pass muster? At least these rappers (and I detest rap music, just so you know) are making a product that people are buying of their own free will, and, as mentioned, they are then turning around and spreading that money around for cars and bling and shit - that's the all American way, buddy!

And as a side note, although I don't profess to be a gearhead, I remember reading about these cars a few years back when Bugati was first introducing them, it was apparently the first production street-legal car to break 1,000 horsepower. Fucking scary - in a good way. So, yeah, as someone alluded to, I believe, it's unlikely this fellow is ever going to come close to utilizing the car's full potential.

you'll see that car in a few music videos, doing parking lot donuts and having hoes do their little ass wiggle in front of it. then it will be for sale in dupont registry or robb report for 10 percent above the purchase price with the ad saying 'gently used, adult owned, never smoked in, mobil1, babied, PRISTINE condition'

I don't see what the problem is. If someone has the money, let them buy whatever they want with it. I've never understood why people get bent out of shape when rich people do what ever they want with their money.

A-fucking-MEN!

He bought that house off of Mike Tyson for 1.2 or 2 mil (I think?) and is flipping it for 10.9? Good biz. if he can get that!?

Baby is making more $ than ever before because top selling artists like Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj are all distributed thru his record company.

Birdman make me happy, keep it pimpin. For me, it shows me you can achieve everything starting from nothing.I agree, the way he did is not smart or respectful, but he got what he wants and buy whatever he wants because he can.I am not a fan of this bling bling shit, but i respect the achievement.

Whatever happened to Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, and BG?

Juvenile and BG are part of the reformed Hot Boys who will record a new album when Lil Wayne gets out of prison. Juve is now re-signed to Cash Money but BG is signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle records.

Mannie quit Cash Money a few years back to start his own label through Def Jam.
