Again, it is a prisoner of the moment thing.
Bringing up the D. Rose Vs. LBJ thing is skewed because they weren't going at each other the whole game. Rose had very few opportunities to go at LBJ, and it was a situational defensive strategy. It's not even on the Scottie Vs. Magic in the Bulls/Laker Finals level, really.
LBJ is a physical freak, but has a few things working against him in MJ comparisons:
1: MVP + DYOP: M.J. was both in the same year. This is almost unimaginable now.
2: Level of comp: M.J. was making his name while playing in the NBA's golden era. Legendary games against all-time great teams separates M.J. from most.
3: Rings: This will always be a main argument until LBJ wins something.
4: Cold-blooded: LBJ is not viewed as the cold-blooded killer that Mike, Kobe, and Reggie were, and that take a little away when comparing Jordan and LBJ.
