I've waited to make a comment on this thread just to see where it would go. It seems like the actual topic has been largely overlooked and the focus has been on the thread starter, because of some previous threads or comments that he's made, I assume. I had never heard of this practice before. I was actually hoping that it was some sort of misunderstanding or misinterpretation... or just an outright urban myth. But apparently this is a common practice among certain Orthodox Jewish sects. And considering the brouhaha that resulted from news of certain Muslim sects performing circumcision on female ******* and young girls, including hearings in the U.S. Congress, I don't see why discussion of this should be off limits. And how just bringing the topic up leads to accusations of anti-Semitism is completely lost on me.
In my opinion, any and all cutting rituals performed on ******* and/or young ********, before they are of an age where they can give consent, should be outlawed in the United States. I consider all forms of ritualistic genital ********** performed on ******** to be barbaric and archaic. Upon learning that several ******* have died as a direct result of this backward practice only cements my beliefs and position.

But at the same time "a decent human being" wouldn't give a baby herpes by doing such an act. Religion or not. There is no excuse for such an act. It's disgusting and extremely unnecessary. Rey C (in the post above this one) said it should be ****** tomorrow. I say it should have been ****** yesterday. Quite frankly the religion stance of the perpetrator is irelevant. If they are stupid enough to commit acts like this then they deserve to be called out and bashed. All of them.

My motive was to show that a ***** was ****** as a result of peadophilia that is condoned by a religion. Imagine if the ****** had instead been ***** by the Rabbi, causing an intenal ******** which had ****** the *****, all under the guise of religion. Would you all then defend the crime by ignoring it, continuing to shoot the messenger of this heinous act?

And another thing... we need to stop dancing around these little fringe religions... giving them special preferences. I dated a girl several years ago who had a school age ***. I asked him about his Christmas vacation once. He told me that they didn't call it "Christmas vacation" any longer. It was "Winter break" or some such silliness now. I live in a pretty conservative area. But even here, you can't talk about Christmas in public school.
