Is Fallout 3 any good?

so its got nothing for me since i got it for 360?

You can get the expansions off xbox live or they all come included on the game of the year edition. I was just saying the guy in the video uses the pc version.

I just started this game and I'm starting to get a little bored with it.

I was in a town trying to kill the fire ants, and I started running out of ammo.It takes way too many shots to kill those things as well as some of the other creatures in the game. The easiest things for me to kill are the Feral Ghoul, and I just baseball bat them to death, but all of the firearms are severely lacking so far.

I'm not sure about the engine either. It seems to be on the remedial side as far as graphics and when you attack while in VATS mode.

I like the environment, but even though I'm early into the game,I'm not sure that I'm ever going to fully get into it.

I got annoyed by the fire ants as well. I also realized I was too low of a level to go at them. Sure enough I ran out of 10mm and 5.56mm in no time trying to take care of that damn town!

Only thing that annoys me with the game is that I can only go up to level 20. :(

So what exactly does that mean? That when you reach level 20 you can no longer improve your character?

If that really is the case, then I think I'm gonna stop playing it right now before I get to far into it and get pissed off.

Thats just for the base game. If you have the Broken Steel expansion max lvl is 30.

I ran into that same problem with the fire ants during the Those mission with my first character, but usually one shot to the head from a hunting rifle puts them down.

Really tried to like this game, even paid for a PC copy. Just could not cope with the lame engine, felt unattached, like I was floating!?

I'll decide to not get the 10% extra EXP perk next time. That way I can at least save from getting to level 20 a bit slower.

The fire ants always pissed me off. I went to the border of the town and fought one of them, before getting annoyed and leaving as soon as it was done. I say follow the main mission for now till it leads you to Rivet City, then you should be at a good enough level to wander around. There are missions to Arefu (talk to the blonde in the bar in Megaton) and Tenpenny Tower (The asian dude in the bar, or you could just walk there and get one) that are easy for beginners, too.

you need to do what i did. i got very frustrated at this game to start (i stopped playing for a month straight)
but you need to save alot and in 2 or 3 different slots, and if you cant get past a certain spot...fucking leave and find more ammo, better weapons, different people to help or hurt and go back to it later. there is no set path to play this game i roaded around the vault for probably 3 or 4 days before really venturing out into this game.
ramp up your weapon damage and use VATS everytime and go for head shots for instant kills!

I found a cook book for when we really live in Fallout 3 times:

I too am excited. Though I decided not to play it until I did near everything in Fallout 3. I will see how long I last. lol

Sadly enough, ever since the new patch for MAG,I've completely lost interest in Fallout 3.Maybe I'll turn it back on one of these days when I need a rest from MAG,but until then,it's a no go for me right now.
