Is "Avatar" better than "Jurassic Park"?

Nope. It's not even close. I like JP but I am not a massive massive fan I own the metal boxset of all three JP movies on DVD because it was only £12 at the time I saw it. But Avatar just didn't do anything for me. I don't own Avatar and never will. JP wins the vote.

Jurassic Park for sure. Avatar had some cool effects but just took the story of throwing people off their land and hacked Norse mythology.

I have to give you Michael Crichton rep! Although as a novel, I liked Westworld better.

Jurassic Park was epic. Way ahead of its time in terms of special effects.

Avatar looked like Dances With Wolves with blue people and helicopters.

Avatar was and is lazily cobbled together shit from start to finish.
Jurassic Park wasn't that good, but it's 24 carrott unobtainium (really? ) in comparison.

Crichton was the best. I might have even liked the second JP book better than the first (not movie-wise, though).

Back on topic, I wasn't that impressed with Avatar. I loved Jurassic Park!
