Ironman 2 - Are you Gonna / Did You See it?

It premiered a week earlier here in Europe and it was brilliant. They should've added 10 more minutes though; I felt some scenes were a bit 'superficial'. Whiplash remains a pretty flat character and Tony Stark's scientific discovery towards the end for example was put together too easily.
What I by the way did like though was that parts of the trailer are surprisingly different from the actual scenes. Scarlett Johansson never looked as hot and Sam Rockwell should get an Oscar for playing the ultimate douche. Again, the ending was a bit too short and cliched.
Overall it was pretty damn good though. Not as good as the first one, but most definitely worth seeing. I recommend watching it at a movie theatre, because of the amazing job they did on sound effects.

Also, do not leave until the credits have ended! ;)

I read a review that in summary said this movie was not all that but aight. It said it was a a much better sequel when compared to other sequels that flopped such as Spider-Man 3 and Transformers 2. If I get the chance, I'll go see this when the sizzle fizzles out a bit my hizzle nizzles

Saw it last week, thought it was crap - as I completely expected it to be. But then again I thought the first one was crap so I may be slightly biased. :D

Then why the fuck would you even bother to see it?

I thought it was good, but now great. The biggest problem with Iron Man is that he really doesn't have that "great" villain that everyone knows like Superman,Batman,or Spider-Man's villains. It's so much so that they don't even call them by their comic names.Never was Bridges villain referred to as Iron Monger, nor was Rourke referred to as Whiplash. If I'm not mistaken,Iron Man's biggest villains are Mandarin and if you want to go back to his earliest villain,Crimson Dynamo.

I guess that thing that people seem to not realize is that these movies are just setups for the up coming Avengers movie in a couple of years anyway,so I think they are going more for character development more than action.

BTW,did anyone see that teaser for Super 8?What a complete waste of time that was.

I saw it and it was a very good movie. Watch it you won't be disappointed.

I saw it last night in IMAX. I thought it was great, maybe even better than the first. Not too much to complain about other than a few slow bits.

Rockwell is an underrated actor. See The Green Mile and Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind.

Whiplash is actually a combination of Crimson Dynamo and Whiplash (Backlash).

It was good, it needed more Scarlett Johansen fighting sequences. Her fight sequence was awesome!! Just that scene made the movie worth it for me. Anybody has any links where I can see that fight scene again? I need to dissect it frame by frame, that's how awsome it was...but then again I grew up watching lucha libre as a kid.

I thought it would be more "actiony." Lots of lame dialogue, IMO.
