Iraqi Dog Saved By US Marine

With all due respect to my friend Senob, I find this somewhat distressing.Invading a country and creating a situation where 100s of thousand of HUMANS have died is not offset by saving a dog in any way and is not to be admired IMO.People are more important than dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know. Its just a dog and they should be heroes for saving a dog.

As bad as this may sound: I can understand the mentality of a soldier if he decides to kill or injure a human for no reason.

They might be stupid or ignorant enough to think that all Iraqis are evil, so they want to hurt everyone possible.

That does not mean I'm saying it's ok, it's still fucked up and definately wrong.

But this just god damn Puppy! What could of possibly of thought he was accomplishing by picking it up then going to find a place to throw him? (I'm guessing it wasn't just sitting there next to the cliff by itself waiting to be found)

Totally agree with this. I think good or bad, the way people treat animals says a lot about what type of person they are. If a soldier kills a defenseless animal, it is pure cruelty. If a soldier kills a person under orders, then it is because he believes it is what is right for his country. If he does kill a person for no reason at all, though, it is cruelty.

Wow, dolphin saves man, US Marine saves Iraqi dog. What a funky world we live in.

No this doesn't make up for the lives lost in the conflict. But that is their job sadly, whereas this was something completely spontaneous and not really essential. All credit to the guy, it's heart warming stuff that the cruellest race of all (us) can sometimes can do the decent thing. :)

@Browneyes: Lol the decent thing would be to use that energy to help the Iraqis or his comerades - what he did was the unexpected waste of time. :D

So very true, can't have said it any btter myself.
Whats 'feel good' when like one hundered of the poor bastards get blown up by terrorists or some psyched out black-water cunts, and some marine giving a better life to a dog?
Shouldn't he be giving a better life to the people, or are they worth less than the dog?

And to the ignorant idiot, I think it's Chinese and East Asians who eat dogs... or can't we even tell them apart from Iraqis?

This whole story is an insult to humanity IMO.

So I guess you can also understand the mentality of a terrorist who wants to kill us all because he is ignorant enough to think we are all bad?
Killing or punishment of innocents is never excusable or understandable IMO.

^^ I agree with dave. I can also understand their mentality. That in no way means I am condoning it, but I do understand it. Hiking a puppy to the edge of a cliff to throw it off, I do not understand however. It is just sickening.

^ Yeah, I don't think their mentality is right, and it's definately fucked up, but it's easy to understand how people get like that.

It's a fucked up world, with some fucked up beliefs.

This "War On Terriers" has gone too far.

Boom boom. :(

Thank god something is being done about it:

(To anyone just joining in, this is about the guy that killed an Iraqi dog, not saved one)

Very glad something is being done about this. The last thing the US military needs at this point is someone making them look like a bunch of sickos. Someone who has this little regard for life (human or animal) should not be allowed to handle a weapon.
