internet explorer

so every time i go to the options i set the accept cookies to medium high. but when i close it and restart internet explorer it sets itself back to accept all cookies. i need someones help, because last time my ****** was using internet explorer and porn sites just kept popping up. i use Firefox but i need to fix this because a lot of people use it.
