Indian dad avoids washing for 35 years

NEW DELHI (AFP) - - An Indian man who fathered seven daughters has not washed for 35 years in an apparent attempt to ensure his next child is a boy, newspapers reported.

Kailash "Kalau" Singh replaces bathing and brushing his teeth with a "fire bath" every evening when he stands on one leg beside a bonfire, smokes marijuana and says prayers to Lord Shiva, according to the Hindustan Times.

If I would've known that pot and a bonfire do the same thing as soap and water I would've stopped bathing YEARS ago, never mind the smell...

I'm surprised the Yangtzee isn't mentioned. I have a coworker that went on a brief cruise on it, and he said that the water is a murky greenish-brown, and the only fish he saw was a fish head that someone didn't eat and threw in the river. He said that there's all sorts of shit floating in it.

I only shower when it's absolutely necessary. If I'm not working or going out, it's not necessary. If I am working, but didn't sweat the day before, I don't shower. Why should I put any more unnecessary stress than it needs? I wouldn't want it to wear out or anything.
