Important announcement regarding the future of this forum

Update: we temporary enabled the forums for everybody again, until we have optimized the new premium functionality. In about a week from now only premium members can see the whole forum again.

A lot has changed in the adult entertainment industry in recent years—especially the growing legal requirement to verify the age of visitors from the UK and other jurisdictions. Implementing these measures is not only complex, but also expensive.

Unfortunately, the FreeOnes forums currently generate no revenue and cost us a significant amount to operate. With new legislation coming into effect, continuing to run the forums in their current form is no longer sustainable. We're left with two choices: shut them down entirely, or introduce a small monthly fee to help cover costs.

We've chosen to keep the forums open—but going forward they will be accessible only to paying members of FreeOnes.com. To make this more affordable, we're reducing the price of our Bronze membership tier to just $3/month.

We understand that this change won’t be welcomed by everyone, but it's the only viable option to keep the community alive while staying compliant with the law.

We're also in the process of making the rest of the site PG-13 compliant, which will allow us to adapt to new regulatory environments and better serve a broader audience.

We'll closely monitor how these changes are received and make adjustments as needed.

At least in my case.

i would rather know i have the money for Rent and a roof over my head instead of paying $3 a month and hoping i can pay rent. it may be "nothing" for some, but i don't have unlimited income

All forums I know where links to actual free downloads are posted operate normally. I guess they never did business with payment processors in the first place. So freeones seems to be kind of an outlier. But discussion isn't as vibrant as it used to be at those places. That's probably how a lot of people ended up here. Maybe source of revenue has an impact on how much moderation you can do and how much discussions you can handle without cutting it down to just dudes posting links.

The payment processor for FreeOnes is @verotel . They are in the Netherlands. Given that Amsterdam is a free and liberal city, it's surprising that Verotel is so conservative. Contrary to everything in Holland.

Companies like Verotel and Stripe don't have their own CC business, they just handle the payments. They are still subject to the rules of the CC companies. It's irrelevant where the payment processor down the line is located, they have to enforce the rules given to them by the US CC companies.

Sadly, I'm sure this will happen. I was shocked when they shut IMDb forums down in 2016.
It's the end of an era. I had great conversations here. Thanks everyone for the memories.

Considering the Internet, in its original form & intent, was one big conversation or informational forum . . . my we've come a long ways (downward).

But . . . the internet is now the primary means of mass communication (and personal, too, I suppose). I suppose expecting certain things to last on the Internet for free & with little to no regulation would be like expecting the newspapers back in the day to publish an unlimited number of classified ads . . . for free. I dunno, maybe there is not a comparative analogy, but it's still sad that a relatively bare bones operation like this is now prohibitive to operate for free.

When you enroll, it will add credits to your existing balance. After you log into myfreeones, you can use those credits to also purchase videos and photo galleries. That's always been in play since the very beginning. For example, when you logged into the forum, each day you received one credit.

The only aspect of Freeones I have ever used/looked at are the forums and I don’t feel I should have to pay to view them. Some people might not agree, but I’m not well off enough that I could justify paying a monthly subscription to look at pictures of nude women!

Indeed. That's my case, as well. I actively participated in a specific thread, which was fairly active, and now it's completely deserted. I paid for a month bronze subscription to retrieve info from this specific thread, but I won't be renewing it. It's a deal breaker for me.
