I went over there, its for real. He tried fix a flat and some shit called slime. The leak is on the side near the rim so its not taking well to the fix a flat shit. He said this evening it held air for a decent while so we may fill it,snow blow and keep filling it,he's got a compressor. However,we're saying that while its sitting there and not pushing into a ton of snow. I have no hope,I will be 15 lbs lighter by tommorow night.
Thank you for a leak thats not in the treads and can easily be fixed with a can of fixit shit.....merry fucking xmas.
1) Take the weight off of this wheel using a wooden block as a prop
2) fill tire with air as usual
3) drill or bore 3... maybe 4 approx 3/8'' holes in the upper and lower sidewalls just before the tire tread (oposite of each other)
4) have your chopper drop you down a can of some
DUTY expansion foam (the kind that can take on weight,
not the crack filling only stuff... stick the straw thingy (on the top of the can of expado) into one of the 3 - 4 / 3/8'' holes and begin filling.
The shit will expand like all hell so you might have to drill additional relief holes as you go. Try to lag a bit on your filling rate, allowing the foam "catch up" instead of just bombing the entire contents of the can in one shot only to have it spew out everywhere.. got that ?
Seriously though, this works in a pinch as described, (me dunnit on a DITCH WITCH

) and yea you'll have to Sawzall the tire off when you're ready to replace it w/ a new one ..... and you'll have a bit some scrapin to do on the inner rim, removing cured foam.
I post this for your consideration only in the event that you might find it to be advantageous to start throwing snow the sooner the better.
