Weighing both perspectives.

Helping the needy, but only those who are indigenous to my area and/or state. When I say indigneous I mean people who are several generations in to this state. Let the Illinoisans, Michiganians and Wisconsinites take care of their own lot. :nono: We can't save everybody. That would be like Canada giving a **** about America, and that would be a cold day in hell before that ever happened. We have state and local laws for a reason, and our very own consitution. The federal government only has jursidiction in a small amount of our affairs.

Question: For practical purposes, how are you able to distinguish between who is indigenous (actually 'native' would be the word) to your state and who isn't?

I'm sure there are ways to firgure that out. We could start by chucking every last piece of **** freeloader from the previous-mentioned places I listed the hell back where they came from and make their good taxpayers foot the bill for their own sorry asses.

I understand the elites invited undesirables to my state as "strike breakers" back, back in the day and so forth, so they would probably be welcome IMO. But, again, the leaches that come from not only all over the country but all over the world sicken me. That said, as a taxpayer of my state I would not mind sending aid to other states in matters of disaster.

The pleasant dichotomy that is my sense of civic duty to my fellow man: you see the liberal (I am fine with the local welfare state, as long as we monitor their progress and they aren't "lifers") and the conservative (everyone else can more or less butt out).

I think a much more interesting question would be "Hot Mega is pretty conservative when it comes to..." :hatsoff:

I'm still not sure based on what you're trying to say above how someone could look at you or someone you say should be tossed and make a distinction.

What am I 'conservative' on?? Well, based on what is considered so called 'conservative' some may say I'm 'conservative' when it comes to the death penalty, the right to firearms, the military and redefining marriage.:eek::2 cents:
