Romney/Ryan in a landslide....... You heard it here first!

You are not to first to say that and not the first that I want to put a money bet with. Give me your odds on straight out win and win by points bet. Make 3rd odds for your landslide. $5, $10, $20? Lay out your odds, I'm a ******** man.

Bob, I will be the first to tell you that I know absolutely nothing about ********, odds, etc.

I just have a gut feeling that Obama is toast.

***, you nothing about politics. Look at every poll and you'll see that nether candidate is running away with the vote right now. This is going to be a very close election, neither candidate will win by a landslide:facepalm:

Well the ****** of Darkness stepped on their dicks again. They decided not to let Princess Sarah take the podium at the GOP Convention. This is gonna cost 'em. Big time. The 8 - 10 women still stoopid enough to vote for Mitt now are going to stay home on election day. Many other TeaPartiers are probably going to follow suit, where Sarah had a fighting chance of getting them to the polls.

I swear, this doofus (Mitt) couldn't make the right decision in the produce aisle. Say g'night Repubs.

I'm encouraged too. So much so, I'll say it again with a picture.

Yeah, but you're the same guy who was complaining about the unemployment rate a few months ago, yet wanted GM to declare Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2009. Connecting the dots is not exactly your strong suit.

Don't you get it? I'm encouraged about Romney/Ryan. Not Obama and his administration. They have failed. And yes, GM should have failed as well. That is what can happen in a Capitalist system.

Scale it down to better understand it.

Example: A local Taco Bell (or any fast food place) is lagging in sales. Whatever they try, they just can't get the customer base that they need. Sales are down, and the owner has to cut some employees. Well, it is common sense that the majority don't want / like that food. And as such, it should fail.

By the way, were you aware that part of the deal with GM and the government was; many dealerships across the country were shut down. Think of all the salesman, saleswomen, mechanics, paper shufflers, etc who lost their jobs.

The fact of the matter is, Obama and his Socialist ideas are bad for this country. Bigger government is NOT the solution.

Enough with the government getting their sticky fingers in on public enterprises.

1. The school system is a mess. Guess who runs the education in America? Yup, the Government / Teachers Union. Billions upon billions of dollars are pumped into the education system every year, and look where we are at compared to other countries that spend far, far less than we do for education. And yet every year, local school districts are always saying they are broke, and they need to raise taxes.

2. Then, Obama decides the government needs to run a large auto company. Since when is that the job of our government? What's next? Disney Land? NFL? NBA? MLB? NHL?

3. And now Health Care. The IRS will fine you if you don't buy into Obama's health care program. Shouldn't it be your RIGHT to have health care or not?

The bottom line here is: Government is NOT the answer to all things. Look at Cuba. The people there are still driving around in 1958 Oldsmobile's, Fords, Chevy's and Plymouth's. The vast majority of the people live in squalor. But guess what? Those in the Cuban government don't. Why is that?

If I break an arm and go to the hospital, I should be able to pay for it out of my own pocket. Under Obama's HC, that can't happen. What will they say we have to purchase next? A certain car? boat?

Enough is enough.

Romney/Ryan in 2012

1. Are you aware that Romney's tax plan would raise taxes on 95% of Americans while millionaires would get a tax cut of $87,000? don't you fall into that 95%?

2. Are you aware that Ryan's plan also cuts Medicare by $700 billion?

What I'm pointing out to you is your own hypocrisy. You can't whine about the unemployment rate (or some out of work car salesmen and secretaries who worked for dealerships) on the one hand and then say that GM should have gone into Chapter 7 liquidation on the other hand. That would have easily taken the unemployment rate to over 20% and likely triggered a global depression. We've already been over that. There's no need for me to (re)explain how the automotive or manufacturing sectors work. Some of you people speak as if capitalism is some sort of religion and the gods must be worshiped in a certain, special way.

With respect to the auto bailout, overall, I'm very glad that both Bush and Obama did what they did. It was the right thing to do. The social and economic cost of making a sacrifice to the god of capitalism was simply too high (and unnecessary). It wasn't perfect. But given the complexity, it has turned out VERY well. The Republicans and conservatives quite simply had NO solution that was practical. The bottom line is, a federal bankruptcy judge approved every step of the GM Chapter 11, the same as would have happened if someone other than the federal government had provided the debtor-in-possession financing. But without the federal government providing the DIP, Chapter 11 would NOT have been possible in this case. That is a simple fact. And since Ryan supported the bailout, you may want to get your beliefs to line up with these various facts.

Hmm... typical liberal side-step. You disregard my post and go off on a completely topic. Nice!

Conversation over.

Strange, he addressed very relevant points in your post, yet the information seems lost on you.

Typical conservative side-step.

That was not a conservative side-step. It was pure stupidity. A pure inability to understand by Sam what is said by others.
I have said many times that this ***** is extremely stupid. The "I'm encouraged" speech it attempted to give was proof of that, from its poorly formulated attempt to liken poor sales and the closing of a local Taco Bell with the national GM crisis (a truly laughable and incompetently formulated paragraph) to laying the blame on Obama's feet of poor education, which are almost a direct result of the disaster known as No ***** Left Behind - and we know who was responsible for that bit of legislation (I do have hopes that Obama will repeal that bit of trash eventually).
No, we are not dealing with a master of words, here. We are dealing with someone who literally thinks asking people for money on the internet is just like the U.S. tax system. We are dealing with an infantile mind, and imbecile, an irrelevant life.

See, who says that you and I cannot find a point of (massive) agreement? :hatsoff:

I never figured you for a Darwinist.

I'm a bit bored by the election. Maybe I'm getting jaded as I'm getting older.

It may be unpopular, but I think I'm more focused on the need some labor laws at the state level to be changed. While I don't think we should over burden a company, states, like NY allow employers to act very unethically towards their eimployees without and repercussions. The fact that some states allow eimployers to fire someone simply because they are gay is insane.
All companies should be held to some sort of code of ethics legally. There should be good faith in dealing with employees that is backed by the law. Otherwise corporations can simply ***** people. It is always the less trained and less fortunate that are ****** the most.

"At Will" employment may sound great, but it can be a ************ for tyranny, not democracy.
